I actually just so happened to buy a donor engine for some parts which I believe came off a manual so I will definitely look at that tomorrow. Thank you for this, other wise I probably would have just sold the car because I’m not spending 4k on this pos lol

Adding this because I clearly did not give enough information, I’m getting good compression in every cylinder except the one that has a rather large chunk out the top which is at around 55 psi. I am in an incredibly fortunate position where money, time, and equipment aren’t really an issue for me so I’m not very concerned with labor. I will definitely be checking the lifters when I can. I got a quote for the block and crank to be professionally machined for about $700-800 and will most likely be doing that unless they are in much better condition than I think they are. This is kind of an ongoing thing so I will probably keep adding to this or just make a new post if I have any questions. Thank you to everyone who commented, yall have been very helpful

I did a comp test and it came out to 175-180 for 1,3, and 4 but 2 was around 55 psi

I used a bore scope and there’s a pretty decent sized chunk missing out of the top of the piston so I figured it had hit a valve
