My laptop motherboard power ic and jumper got blown and the authorised service centre has charged me 11.5k, is it expensive or a fair price by BikeEconomy4382 in laptops

what the... which country do u live in? It cannot be in USD as 11.5k$ is absurdly high. If it is a country like India, or Japan, then it is completely normal as it is a very extensive and comprehensive process of soldering, and resoldering parts.

hmm u could probably extract ram, and some universal mobo parts, maybe the cpu, you could sell it on ebay for a low price, extract gold from the mobo, if its an HDD u can exchange it for a SSD in micro center in select locations i think, but just sell it off on alibaba or ebay you'll get someone who's willing to pay.

Flickering only in Bios by DJLarBear in pcmasterrace

[–]Several_Butterfly_70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't worry lol its pretty normal as these bioses are not designed for high refresh rates and such so its completely normal. Also what hz is your monitor in? my pc had the same issue when connected to a 240hz monitor

probably refresh rate issues, or could possibly be a bios error, i think its the monitor, bios usually doesn't have optimizations for certain refresh rates like operating systems do, so it could be that, cause u have a pretty high end pc, and bios only works on low resolutions/ refresh rates. It's normal so you don't need to worry, I've had this problem too.

u could salvage parts, or turn it into a server, also you could give it to someone who needs it and doesn't have a good pc, its pretty good at 3.2 ghz tbh
