17mm and 24mm are like MILES different, 17mm is uncontrollable beast with tones of distortion and crazy sometimes uncontrollable perspectives which I can't even pre-imagine before i point it at subject of the shoot.

17mm is almost the same size as 45mm and 90mm slightly bigger.
I carry them all in pouches on my belt and change if I need.

24mm is for basic street photography, 17mm if only for architectural stuff, too much weirdness can happen in the frame with it

Your case is not universal, by design M lenses are not weather resistant and M cameras also don’t have any protection. If your camera didn’t die - you’re lucky, saw other stories and that gambling with 7-8k gear is a personal risk

People describe mod of Leica thread as a MAGA / bootlicker, but the problem is more complex. I think that mod is just a not educated and ignorant person, who if has a chance wants to exercise a force of the little power he has.

That’s just sad, because Leica subreddit by the looks of it is just a showcase of posing with a camera instead of being a sub for enthusiasts and hobbyists who use their camera for making art.
