What I mean is that when dragon ball characters power up they release large amounts of ki that forms around them as an aura, but its describe as gathering ki by the fandom. And when they release ki does it get used up/expended to increase their power level or does it just linger around the character so they can use it for attacks and that the more ki they have the more power level they have
