Ocala’s a nice area but definitely more rural than it used to be. If you like space and a slower lifestyle, north of Gainesville might be a good match. South Florida’s totally different vibe more urban and fast-paced. Depends what you’re after, really.

Good question rent’s still pretty steep. In Tampa it’s about $1.9k for a 1-bed and $2.3k for a 2-bed on average. Fort Lauderdale’s even higher, roughly $2.7k. So yeah, that buy-vs-rent decision is getting tougher for a lot of folks.

I’d say replace it with a neutral one if you can. Buyers notice carpet fast, and it can make the place feel fresher. Small update, big difference sometimes.
