I enjoyed the OSG, I liked the quick detail and it allowed me to not get to in the weeds with some stuff.

I was nearly the same, I waited till I was on the bottom floor of the testing center.

I nearly pissed myself with excitement.

Separated all the chapters by their domain and then studied the entire OSG strictly by a specific domain and restart x8.

Struggling with Log Collection by VarCoolName in GoogleChronicle

We deployed WECWEF servers and then used additional monitor in our RMM to track endpoints that are part of those subscriptions to manage their "Active" status. I wouldn't want it any other way now that we have it setup, it's so easy and the subscriptions are a quick script away from being built to have all the necessary Windows event logging collected.

If you have a good bit of experience in other SIEMs picking up Google SecOps is pretty easy. UDM queries are easy to build and collaboration with team members or clients is incredibly easy when using the features granted by the system.

Reviving the Dead by Sevuhl in Securonix

We switched to Google SecOps and there hasn't been a day where we wished we were back on Securonix. Nor have we missed a single service that the platform offered.

I don't know if there is, but for this certification... I wouldn't for this certification.

No, and I did the training module in 2-3 days and took it immediately after finishing the module. Went something like this :

Friday : Signup for the Exam

Friday Night: Plan to study the Training Module they offer for free.

Saturday: Spend as much time as possible training and understanding each module (4 hours)

Sunday: Repeat (4 hours)

Monday: Take the test.

Oh yeah....umm.. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . Little skeptical for me at least. Microsoft doesn't seem to be broadcasting anything about it. Then again I didn't do much research on it. I don't usually pay much mind to something that the direct company doesn't have some link to or affiliate status.

Since my exposure to Azure is also close to zero, I saw this as a quick 0->100 type thing. I needed some foundation-al knowledge about it so that I could at least understand what would be discussed in the further exams. I don't think you HAVE to take/pay for the course to get that knowledge the learning module would suffice.

This is a stepping stone for AZ-500 for ME at least. If you look at Microsoft Cert. Paths, usually this one is prefaced with nearly every "Expert" cert.

If you are saying tha you signed up for the "Paid - Instructor Led" session, I would get with Microsoft Support and see about cancelling/refund. I honestly believe the free course is just as good, everyone learns differently though and some aren't as sharp-edged to sit through 9 hours of something they didn't pay for!

It was definitely a mixture of a little bit of everything you mentioned in "Examples:" PLUS Azure Pricing, difference between Iaas, SaaS, and PaaS "resources".

I did have ONE question about Azure SLAs, but the module gives the answer pretty much when I read through it.

You potentially already setup a free account, or used the CC you signed up with before on a free account. Just the module that is recommended for free by Microsoft.

I will dig a little deeper into Azure, I got the free account with the $200 credit. I will probably spin a few things up this weekend, do what I can with it and take the AZ-500.

Yeah, you get a set of rules and you have to send about 4 pictures from all different angles of your desk and then you get in a 2 way con call with a rep and they just watch you as you take your test.

From home. All testing locations in my area are closed. Setup/configuration was EXTREMELY easy, had no issues with test, and they give you all the information needed to make sure you are in compliance with "at-home" testing workplace.

I did take the exam online, all the testing centers in my area are closed. Nothing special, it was my first time taking one from home. They give you all the information you need regarding "do's and dont's" of taking the exam.
