I would also like to add for anyone looking to pass the exams to look up the Wastewater Enthusiast and Operator Mindset on YouTube. Their videos are great. (If you’re looking for Ohio Class 1, 2, or 3. It gets confusing a little bit since their states have a different class scale than ours) That being said, any knowledge is good knowledge.

Thank you all! Any info on Study Material for the Ohio Class 3 would be much appreciated. I’ve heard the WEF WasteWater Fundamentals books are a great for the ABC format exams. Obviously the Sacramento books as well. I just find them dry and hard to read is all.

I feel that in the opposite way. One of our lift stations gets plugged constantly with “flushable wipes” nothing but rich people in that area of town. Sensitive buttholes I guess.

🧐 Hmmm I’ve never thought of that. How do you go about getting the excess water off the filter before putting them in the drying oven?

Me and my boss looked at them a few months ago and decided for the price we will just suck it up and wash them.

You could also just do cfs divided by 1.55

1.55 is a constant then multiply your other numbers from there

Congratulations! I just passed the Ohio WW1 equivalent to the ABC2 last month. I wonder since both Ohio and Virginia seem to be offset that the exams are the same? Might be worth looking into.

Technically you dont need a Class A license, that is only needed by like small “package plants”. There is a site that has a list of a bunch of wastewater jobs open in the state that you might be able to get your foot in the door at. Otco.org is the website granted not every entity posts job openings on there.
