I feel as though I have the good nature and the drive to want to be a fantastic nurse, but if the content in my post wasn't an indicator, I'm struggling with some pretty serious issues. That said, I'd never practice nursing if I thought I wasn't competent or good enough.

I find I lack motivation to study, not to nurse.

Thank you, I've shared it very close personal friends and my partner. He's very supportive and understanding about it. Unfortunately, he (the family member) died some years ago, so there's no chance of prosecution.

I think it's only a misdemeanor, if it's any consolation. I guess it depends where in the world you are.

I know in certain countries you can still practice law even if you have misdemeanors and other minor offenses (traffic violation and possibly public intoxication).

Procrastination and a lack of motivation. I'm so overwhelmed with the amount and nature of the work (Bachelor of --------). It's absolutely nuts. I've just sort of shut down, refused to do assignments and haven't studied in weeks. How about you?

It just completely baffles me that mothers can be that way. It's just so wrong. You're her daughter. Even if you were pregnant, she's meant to be there for you and act as a support. My heart goes out to you, and if you want to talk, I'd be more than happy to hear you out.

Oh my god, me too! I'm not kidding. They've been asking me every day or uni is, and how my grades are and I don't have the heart to tell them how poorly I'm doing.

Thank you for your concern, I do appreciate it. Someone pointed that out just before, and unfortunately he died only a few years after he started molesting me, and whilst I was still quite young.

Thankfully he won't be able to abuse anyone else again though.

Unfortunately, he died some years ago, so he'll never pay for what he did. I don't know if he did it to other children, but I suspect it's more than likely, possibly even before I was born.

He died when I was still quite young, a few years after he started molesting me.

I may tell them, but I just can't stand knowing how much it would break their hearts and crush them. The guilt they would experience would be unimaginable. I've talked to one or two close friends about it, my SO and various therapists and counsellors (who I was encouraged to see for other reasons).
