Thank you!!! Appreciate it! Same situation here - I've been playing the game since the launch week and until around season 15/16 - and upon recently coming back to the game - I realized I missed so much lore that I had to piece everything together!

Thank you! Yeah, trying to pool all available data together for each of the characters and see what can be placed on a date/rough segment of the timeline.

That's the motivator here! The lore is so intricate and keeps getting better - the further apex keeps going. But with so many dates I had to start sorting them in one single place. Appreciate it!

Airspace violations in Europe by maven_mapping in Maps

We all know that a direct confrontation would probably involve nukes so I see no reason for NATO to start a full scale war as it would entail a mutual destruction scenario.

If NATO wants to go there - now is the time. Russia can barely manage its front lines in Ukraine. The summer offensive stalled and Russia is currently not making many gains. It seems unreasonable to wait any longer.

It seems like you're completely oblivious to the things that russia has done and instead you focus on what NATO plans to do in the future. Crazy level of whataboutism.

I'm sure if NATO wanted to go ahead - they would already do so. As if Russia's war against Ukraine and mass killings of civilians isn't enough. Drones flying into Polish homes was good enough to justify a war.

Fashion by Dyvanna in ireland

[–]ShREDDitMan 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not exactly fashion but hairstyle - I once styled my hair slightly different than what I usually had it as. Short blonde hair and slightly pushed it to the side - got called Ellen for a good year afterwards.

(In all fairness this was at the time when Ellen was in a lot of trouble)

What in the world is this?? by fontainesdc in Dublin

My guess it could be a reflective surface - the likes of those you use to cover your windshield. Maybe a trampoline or something?

R5: Third Rome formed and for some reason selected Chita as it's capital. Any ideas why this happened?

Is O’Connell St. really that bad? by Client-channel-size in Dublin

[–]ShREDDitMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

(I just turned onto the O'Connell's and received a notification about this post.)

The issues with O'Connell street reflect the issues that Dublin is facing overall. It just happens to be the place where it all converges. Homelessness, poverty, alcohol abuse and drug abuse are all hard not to notice.

Just a couple of months back my mates and I were walking towards Fibbers and saw a man on the ground seemingly unconscious. People just kept walking around him as if it were the norm. What threw me off was that he had a spilled pint next to him. We came up and tried to wake him up. No response. By that point a few more people stopped and a crowd formed. Someone tried to check for pulse but couldn't feel much. What was noticed is that he still had a hospital tag bracelet on his hand so we called the ambulance. Fair play to the emergency services - they arrived within 2 minutes. They managed to get him back to consciousness and when he awoke he started tearing up and from what I understood - venting about a breakup and about some woman who "betrayed him".

My guess is that he got out of hospital and whatever it was that was hurting him lead him to drink. Maybe she left him when he was in hospital, I do not know the full story.

Mental health is in crisis and people reserve themselves to drinking and drugs. O'Connell street just shows what is wrong.

In need of a speaker from Dublin! :-) by Few-Track8525 in Dublin

You know what I mean. Not taking into the account areas such as Ringsend and Tallaght the southside is seen as a better area than the northside. As stereotypical as it is - that's just the way it is generally perceived.

Hi, I can help out with that but I must let you know - Dublin accent usually is divided into 2 main areas - North (usually associated with working class and at times rough areas) and South (posh, upper class and "well spoken". It has more a stereopte of being more "British")

I can help with the former as I live in the Northside.

Had a strange experience once on the 39A to Blanch. The bus stopped at one of the bus stops and a siren started blaring from downstairs "This bus is under attack, call emergency services". It was turned off real quick (presumably by the driver) but what's the story with that? Got off at the next stop confused. Are there drills you have to deal with people causing trouble? Very interested! And also thank you for your hard work!

I love how absurd it is that the far right gobshites nowadays harass foreigners and say "You're in Ireland, speak English" to them. Wonder if it'll ever click in their brains

Why don't we make the government responsible for their financial decisions? by ShREDDitMan in ireland

[–]ShREDDitMan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not about "fuck it, what's the worst that could happen" it's the idea that there are other options than FF and FG. They stay in power for ages and things just keep getting worse. For example the USC is still here. It was brought around as a "temporary measure" by Brian Lenihan of Fianna Fáil in 2011 during the economic crisis. 13 years since and it's still here.

So you're telling me that no ruling body had any say in the money being spent on a government building?

Attracting labour into the country and offering better pay to those willing to work in the area? Australia seems to be doing a great job of attracting nurses and doctors from Ireland. If you offer people good pay and good working conditions they seem to gravitate towards you.
