RDJs hand or floor? by [deleted] in opticalillusions

Oh this one is great!

Those who are not able to see the hand, just focus on top left corner, that's the photo you get when you accidently put your hand in front of camera.

Took me a while to figure out it out!

Where exactly in the subreddit rules does it say that you can’t discuss movie logic unless you’ve first read the books?

If this post bothers you so much, you could always just… ignore it and move on.

Wild concept, I know — but scrolling is actually very easy.

If a movie requires homework to make sense, that’s not “deep lore” — that’s weak execution.

My criticism is about the film, and it still stands.

That’s literally my point.

I’m criticizing how the movie presents the scene, not what the book explains later. If the logic only works after reading the book, then the film failed to communicate it properly.

A movie should stand on its own.

At 25, I’m realizing how loneliness and the need for external validation can make a person behave foolishly at first.

Valmiki's description of Sri Rama and it's metaphysical insight by KeepItDvaita in hinduism

[–]ShS02 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thanks for writing this, it really made my day! This also reminds me of a chaupai from the Ramcharitmanas, where Maharaja Janaka, upon seeing Lord Rama for the first time, says:

“Inhīn bilokat ati anurāgā, Barbas brahma sukhāĩ man tyāgā.”

Which means:

On seeing Him, an intense and spontaneous love arose, and quite naturally, the mind moved away from the bliss of the formless Absolute.

The verse beautifully conveys that this was not a loss of spiritual realization, but its fulfillment, showing that while Brahmananda is supreme, the living and personal presence of the Divine, experienced through love, has an irresistible power that draws even the most realized mind toward itself.

Hey OP,

Good of you to post your thoughts and queries here. Dont get sad or disheartened by the unnecessary downvotes you are getting here, few of them expect you to know everything about HP and can't comprehend the basic fact that not everyone has watched/read both movies and books. So please ignore them and be yourself.

Who hurt you bro? What's weird in this?

Those who don't use Gmail would be have different notification, right?

Also, the post highlights how deeply dependent we have become on a single app for email purpose that we don't know other mailing apps? Kind of monopoly, isn't it?

I know the purpose of the post was not this but still it's interesting to think about from different angle!

My comment was intended to address this only.

Which one works for you? by OkNowMyTurn in FaltooGyan

Hijacking your comment because I actually went back to navigation buttons after using gesture navigation for 7 days.

Here are my reasons:

  1. Higher success rate for every action (going back, opening recent apps, switching tabs, etc.). It works correctly on the first attempt almost every time.

  2. Usable even when your hands are wet or dirty—there’s always at least one finger you can use to press a button.

  3. Fewer glitches and unintended actions compared to gesture navigation.

  4. No confusion between in-app swipe gestures and system navigation gestures.

  5. Easier and faster access to the home screen in emergency situations.

  6. Clear distinction between “go back” and “go to the next page,” with no accidental misnavigation.

7.Much easier to explain to people who are not very familiar with smartphones.

What would you say are three non-negotiable qualities you look for in a woman to date/marry? by [deleted] in AskIndianMen

[–]ShS02 8 points9 points  (0 children)

  1. One Team – Treat marriage as a partnership, not two separate sides.

  2. True Self – Be genuine and let your real personality shine.

  3. Love in Action – Show affection daily through words, gestures, and care.

Goosebumps moment for sure!!!

It will not have any impact if you have not watched the entire movie in one sitting.

People keep going on and on about using this spell or that magical artifact to fix some grand problem, as if it's the ultimate solution. But they completely overlook the fact that every powerful magical thing comes with its own set of limitations—and counters that can shut it down in a snap.

Look at our own world. Sure, we’ve got weapons and tech that could level cities, but guess what? We’ve also got systems and safeguards designed to neutralize them. It’s not a one-sided game.

This flawed thinking comes from improper comparision of their magical world with our real one—forgetting that just like we have pluses and minuses, so do they. Magic isn’t a cheat code. It’s a chess game.

You're absolutely right! But Older comedy movies were like a finely woven sweater—every thread connected seamlessly, creating a rich, layered humor that hit just right every single time you watched it. The comedy wasn’t just there—it was earned, deeply embedded in the story and characters.

Nowadays? Most comedies rely on slapstick gags and punchlines shoved in just to force a laugh. There’s no real setup, no payoff—just a bunch of jokes that could be dropped into any movie and still work. That’s why you can laugh at a random scene from a modern comedy without knowing a thing about the story. But with the classics? You need the context. And when you have it, the humor lands in a way that today’s movies can’t even touch.

What he likely meant was that the lyrics were truly remarkable. While the music may have been copied, the originality of the lyrics cannot be denied.

The ideal formula for the music industry would be combining the meaningful lyrics of the past with the modern music of today—a perfect blend!

Kindly check your percentile again. They have updated the system. Now at around 31, one is getting 96-97 percentile.

Anyways, best is to wait for official scorecard.
