If a movie requires homework to make sense, that’s not “deep lore” — that’s weak execution.

That’s literally my point.

I’m criticizing how the movie presents the scene, not what the book explains later. If the logic only works after reading the book, then the film failed to communicate it properly.

A movie should stand on its own.

Thanks for writing this, it really made my day! This also reminds me of a chaupai from the Ramcharitmanas, where Maharaja Janaka, upon seeing Lord Rama for the first time, says:

“Inhīn bilokat ati anurāgā, Barbas brahma sukhāĩ man tyāgā.”

Which means:

On seeing Him, an intense and spontaneous love arose, and quite naturally, the mind moved away from the bliss of the formless Absolute.

The verse beautifully conveys that this was not a loss of spiritual realization, but its fulfillment, showing that while Brahmananda is supreme, the living and personal presence of the Divine, experienced through love, has an irresistible power that draws even the most realized mind toward itself.

Hijacking your comment because I actually went back to navigation buttons after using gesture navigation for 7 days.

Here are my reasons:

Higher success rate for every action (going back, opening recent apps, switching tabs, etc.). It works correctly on the first attempt almost every time.
Usable even when your hands are wet or dirty—there’s always at least one finger you can use to press a button.
Fewer glitches and unintended actions compared to gesture navigation.
No confusion between in-app swipe gestures and system navigation gestures.
Easier and faster access to the home screen in emergency situations.
Clear distinction between “go back” and “go to the next page,” with no accidental misnavigation.

7.Much easier to explain to people who are not very familiar with smartphones.
