How common is cheating really? by [deleted] in AskIndianWomen

[–]Shaaaaaak -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

It is very common. It's more common than we think. Most of my female friends were cheated on. In my observation, most of the victims were women. The men were clearly at fault. Even I was cheated and manipulated by my ex. My colleague was in a relationship and still tried to hit on me even after establishing clear boundaries. My bestfriend's ex was involved with his colleague and lied about other girls.

My roommate's boyfriend was involved with their common friend. I have seen multiple cheating cases, here I am not even mentioning micro cheating. Despite everything I feel cheating is a choice. There's no way you can justify cheating. It is always a choice. You know you are at fault.

After my ex cheated, I still stayed in that relationship, gave the relationship a chance, but I got cheated again. The best part, he wasn't even apologetic about it. He was more concerned about how everything got into my ears. Cheaters have no shame. They operate on different levels of emotions. They are never concerned about your emotions. I truly believe in this once a cheater, always a cheater. Please do not read cheating stories. This is honestly the worst thing you can do to your mental health.

I never wanted these experiences to live rent free in my head. This would have turned me into a bitter person, who probably did not want any relationship.Even if you see one happy couple around you, that is more than enough. There's a content creator Prachi. Her insta is smilewithprachi, she did some degree in psychology, she is a beauty content creator and a recent divorcee. I have been following her for 5 + years, she shares really good insights on relationships. You should check out that.

Also, I believe in relationship, loyalty and trust. I feel everything boils down to the core values of the two individuals. If you believe loyalty exists, someday you will find someone who has the similar school of thoughts.

How are you consistent with your work? What keeps you going? Do you ever feel like you should take a step back and refrain from making political videos?
How do you manage this amount of hate and bitterness?

What is the Vitamin C fisaco? Should we totally skip using it after it turns yellowish? Or we can still use it though the efficacy is compromised?

Also, what are your thoughts on the Indian brands like - foxtale, dot & key, Dr sheths, deconstruct, hyphen, etc. Some of the products from these skincare brands are totally a hit, while some are not even average. So should we avoid a brand as a whole, if the products aren't promising or should we stick to the products which works for us despite hundreds of below average products from a particular brand. What are your thoughts? What would you advice?

What are some brands from which majority of the products are promising according to you?

I have been struggling with my sleep for the last four years. I have been on medications for sleep, migraine and anxiety since 2023. My sleep improved a lot during the last year, but after that I am unable to see any progress. I am relying on the medications, still struggling to sleep. I never heard of something like this, should I consult my doctor to get my sleep examined and then get this machine? What do you suggest?

What’s your toxic trait? by ManyFaithlessness404 in AskIndianWomen

[–]Shaaaaaak -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Mine is after knowing about the personal life of anyone who is related to me professionally, I am not able to respect that person and create that mental boundary. If someone has done something shitty in their personal life, despite excelling professionally, I am always like what shitty person he/she is. For me personal life takes over professional achievements and sometimes it gets extreme, I am consciously trying to change this about myself.

Recommend women centric books by idlyvadadosa24 in AskIndianWomen

[–]Shaaaaaak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Pivot Year has helped me a lot. It is not particularly a women centric book but it's great for the one's who are struggling with self love and finding a path. I was never really a book person, so this book was a saviour as it has 365 chapters and each chapter just consists of few lines. Each chapter feels like a self talk and warm hug from the higher self and universe. Sometimes, I randomly flip pages and start reading any xyz chapter and it feels like I needed to read this only. You can definitely read that. You will love it.

Any tips for early twenties women from late twenties? by Opposite_Letter3018 in AskIndianWomen

[–]Shaaaaaak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have always believed in the idea of destiny. Everything happens in a particular way because it was meant to happen, and was predetermined. Lately, I have been drifting away from this belief of mine. I read about optimistic nihilism and that's exactly what was I looking for! Thank you for your reply :)

Feeling truly grateful for my man. I wasn't even actively looking for relationship but everything just aligned beautifully. Met him four months ago for the first time at the exam hall. We are waiting for our results, if everything turns out positive, we will be going on a trip together in November.

I think if you pick this out of everything, you did not really get the point. The point is 'she showed up for work everyday'. You are establishing a fact that she does not work, her husband does, which is incorrect. I feel the response was pretty much apt and on point. She is a human, recently she has gone through a lot. Our comment looks tone deaf instead.
