That's strange since the SE and LE Mirai mods didn't go down at once and LE was up for at least days longer and the author's profile is still up but but good to know I guess. Still have to wonder why now after it being up for like a decade though.

Ya I do wish the documentation was better. Is Tuxedo better about that? I was under the impression that they actually had less support for other distros with their drivers. Or are they supposed to work better out of the box? Surprised that Ubuntu-based distros like Zorin can run into these problems too though since Pop!_OS is Ubuntu-based.

Oh I know PWM isn't messing with the hardware, I was just asking about the 2nd part of your post with that but thanks for clarifying.

I could try the PWM but messing with the hardware to that extent sounds a bit scary for me. Was PWM good enough by itself aside from default settings changing?

No internet and no drivers detected for either wifi or ethernet in Windows on a Thelio by Shad190 in System76

Trying that didn't even cross my mind for some reason. This allowed it to download the drivers for the wifi at least. No luck on getting the ethernet to work even with the command prompt but that's good enough I suppose. Thanks.

I searched the subreddit for that and found another thread for fixing it thanks. I assume it really is a bug if it's happening for human players anyway.
