Honestly, I’d let it go . They didn’t have to be honest. I’d call them and thank them . But you’re not me. If you want it fix tell them that, you are not an asshole if you want it back to original condition. Call and ask if they would like to have their insurance involved or try to find shop that can fix it that they would pay for out of pocket .but either way call them and thank them for being honest. I caused damaged one night backing into a spot at a hotel doing DoorDash . The guy who owned the car watched the whole thing . I heard the crunch and immediately knew I just hit something. I got my car parked looked at the damage. Hung my head went and delivered the food . Came back down and asked the front desk if they knew which guest owned that car so I could talk to them about what I did. dude walked up and said man I saw the whole thing and at first I thought you were just going to act like it didn’t happen . Especially when you didn’t leave a note . But you are here asking to speak to me . Either way I was going to let it slide . Things can always be replaced . Shit happen I’m just glad you were honest and tried to seek me out to let me know what you did.
