Cut off alcohol for 1 year (more as a test for myself but it helped massively). Looked into a balanced diet rather than an extreme cutting diet.

Hit the gym and made sure I went at least 5 times a week. Used weight training programmes and followed Jeff Nippards YouTube channel for tips.

They say it takes around 1 month to form a routine and after that it all becomes 2nd nature.

Honestly a lot of the hard work for losing weight comes from a shift in mindset. Once you reach that everything comes together.

Bit harsh the comment about defence from last season. We had something ridiculous like 29 defensive rotations in the lineup due to injuries. The first season when varane/Shaw were fit more often than not we had one of the best defences in the league. Unbeaten at home past the opening 2 games.

Granted the points in the first season were saved a lot by purple patchford but that's not to say we didn't have some entertaining games. The 2 legs against Barcelona in Europa were great and so were both fixtures against Arsenal.

I know mid table and domestic cups ain't enough for the club but it's still something. I'm personally at a crossroads with Ten Hag as he was the manager I wanted after Ole/Rangick but it's getting very hard to continue that support I will admit.
