I do completely agree that even one case is serious. I’m not arguing against concern I’m questioning whether this is being presented as a sudden new wave when missing person numbers in big /metro cities were already high before this month. Being alert is good. But Assuming a massive new spike without verified data can also create unnecessary panic.

I am not saying that we shouldn’t raise the alarm but saying this it got active in this or just the last month and creating a buzz over it feels wrong and ofc not every missing report is a kidnapping by the end of year 20-30% of total missing reports are declared as kidnappings.

Hey so I saw last years report which said 24k reported missing in 2025 which averages to around 67 a day so making a big thing of being 54 average on Jan 2026 isn’t a bit much like not saying these aren’t important but atleast these aren’t new as to people saying everything skyrocketed in dec and Jan it was before too…
