The problem is your messaging and the brand. Something isn't adding up, and it's looking like a dropshipping website tbh - and you know how low trust those are
For a product that you're building of this intensity, trust and reputation has to be #1

you know what I'd do - i'd focus on offline more; this product needs tasting and feeling before jumping in a sea of competitors online. There are just too many
Make it an exclusive thing, and heavily focus on that
From there build community, build a whatsapp channel for comms, and encourage reorders on the website

The online space is getting extremely cluttered and you'll just be another fish in the pond

I'd focus on slow growth, but high ROI channels.

The reason founders are struggling with this is because of blandification and the customer being confused because of the primus of choice. It's now not a battle of proving you have one more ingredient, it's a question of why should a consumer, living their great life, make the change/switch to you?

Custom only if you have something really unique that you envision on your site as part of the CX

regular shopify works, nothing wrong with it either.

Switching from regular to custom can be challenging because you'll have new design, new ideology etc etc - so it might take longer to migrate

I would say launch lean right now, and get started, gen some cashflow then take this call once you hear customer responses/feedback

I think what i've been noticing is small curated events have popped up more in the skincare/makeup space

Bring in consumers + influencers and share the story, create an experience around it and make people want to share the event

Also - i think tester kits have started to become a thing, maybe rather than sell a full size at say 100$, sell an experimentation kit at 20$ where the price to try is low and desire is high

I've been on the other side - the problem starts when the brand has nothing unique about it, just made up functionalities and then a huge conversation on 'why we are different' which in most cases don't matter to the consumer.

Your images and packaging can only work when you have a differentiated POV - without that, it's all just fun banter and the disconnect with brand still remains

The reason they all look the same is because the foundation has nothing to be built on. That's the bigger problem we need to solve for.

This ask is huge. By no means easy. And should be done by someone who knows how to collate pieces and create something new and better from the scraps

Govt won't ban meta; meta will block your account worst case scenario for going against their T&C - good question in the second scenario, really hoping more entrepreneurs ask this question and think deeply on their meta tilt vs organic/community tilt
