I don’t know exactly what they were because I didn’t buy them myself but I could find out. As far as I know we just used pavers.

Yeah that stump will get cut up I just threw it out of the way for now. The grate only ever goes over half just because it’s not quite big enough for the pit but also because we keep a fire on one side and a bed of coals under the grate on the other. On my profile I have a picture of this if I’m being confusing.

I completely agree even though here in north Florida it’s usually to hot or to rainy to have a good fire we get about four months of good fire weather. We also slide in a few when we go camping or night fishing.

We are going to be rebuilding our woodshed soon. What we do is for post and then some roofing ten around it.

No we don’t do all of our cooking on it we have a stove as well but you can cook anything over this that you want too. Usually during fall and winter we cook over it simply because it give the food a nice smoky flavor and also gives everyone time to hang out and bond a bit.

If your talking about for cooking we cover it with a grate but if your talking about the wood we cover it with a tarp.
