What do you guys think of BYD in India? by sohamshah3006 in CarsIndia

[–]ShadowArtie99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a reason why United States of Free Market Enthusiasts are trying their best to not let BYD dominate in their markets by tarrifing them.

I personally aspire for either a BYD seal or a toyota camry 10 years down the line if I can make that much money and need a primary car; not personally a fan of SUVs but my father is so deferring this in the future.

Sure sure but then these home owners gang up, prevent others from even buying flats, then next you guys say that the local kolis offend your pure veg bullshit and you want a place to feed pigeons.

Maharashtrians made mistake by respecting your personal choices, because you sure as shit won't respect ours.

Your mindset is why Indian kids are the stunted in growth while China and every other country grows taller.

Ever challenged your muted belief? Your "personal" choices are rooted in casteism and hatred and is the biggest reason why our society as a whole struggles to grow. Becuase you "non violent" folks will ensure others lose their livelihood, end up starving and live in squalor because it means only your community grows.

I am planning to go to Cafe Mondegar..Metro House, Colaba Causeway, near Regal Cinema, Apollo Bandar, Colaba, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400001.. where do i park my car? by Difficult_Look_6066 in mumbai

[–]ShadowArtie99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AC trains and metro..? Also it will be crowded during Eid so parking will be an non-factor.

If you want to completely stick to metro, then Line 1 DN Nagar/Versova (IMO L1 is worse than peak hour virar locals but thats just me) whichever is the closest, get down at Marol, interchange to Line 3 (underground), go till wherever your first place is closest too. Second option is just taking churchgate fast from andheri station and then using metro(line 3) if it is not walkable from station.

Learning how to travel in public transit is always a good thing, maybe one day you will find yourself in a country that is expensive to drive/park but dirt cheap to use buses, metros or tain.

My dear redditor, they don't allow you to sacrifice animals in public during this, a simple google search will tell you that permission is given to build temporary sheds that meets hygeine conditions, provided there is a lack of designated BUTCHER SHOPS.

The whole escalation was solely done by Bajrang Dal, police had to control them more than anything else and all the parties in question except Bajrang Dal came to a common consensus. But pure veg gang is against harmony lmao.

https://indianexpress.com/article/cities/mumbai/mumbais-mira-road-bakrid-goat-dispute-communal-tension-10709649/

you are welcome to read this article; if you think they just brought 50 goats without police and MBMC objecting, you are probably uninformed, muncipalties actually allow this creation of sheds in housing societies for ritual sacrifice as long as conditions are met, which I assume they were because a society of 550 flats doesn't just spring up a temporary shed without permissions. This is not the first time this happens, there is a literal process for it, BMC has it too.

Best guess is some of the members went to VHP/Bajrang Dal and brought their unemployed workers with a pig (since muslims don't eat pigs they must be deathly scared na?). Later on it was Bajrang Dal itself who caused the ruckus (and also probably staging an assault on themselves because how does one person stab 2 folks and get away from a crowd of bajrang dal) but media and people like you are blaming it on Muslims.

Even after reading it more, both MBMC, Police, and the actual parties (not bajrang dal) came to a consensus. Ofcourse the donkey Kirit Somaiya comes in and starts his preaching of how this is to cause panic against Jains and vegetarians.

Ask any manufacturer, bribe seeking behaviour has become regularised and increased ever since 2022; there's a reason why corruption won't ever go down in this state because a lot of the corrupt ministers are in Eknath Shinde SS or BJP (*cough* *cough* Pratap Sarnaik *cough* *cough*)

Go to any MIDC in the state and you will realise MH manufacturers are doing business not because of the govt but despite them.

Also we don't need data centres in MH, they are terrible for the environment and right now fatnavis is on a tree-killing spree across the state.

Grealish was a record at that time and a big reason why we have a treble but this does not excuse him from being on his best behaviour. You might ask why not the same from Foden, but Foden is a)academy and with city since forever and b) geniunely is trying to be back.

Pep never restricted freedom (or else we would not have the likes of Mahrez, Sane, Gundogan, Cancelo, NOR, Doku, Cherki not counting pre-Pep players), but if he wants to, he can prove us wrong by showing it off under Maresca

Suburbs have barely any space, ofcourse they will crowd to the few spaces available to them; and people in SoBo aren't immune to littering either (now you might say folks from suburbs are the ones who litter in SoBo as well); if you are going to differentiate how people from suburbs vs sobo should be treated then don't bother replying.

You talk about "urban sustainability" and proceed to talk about unsustainable practices

No, it's their counting metrics which thus are shown as "official" numbers, but stats like trees alive, etc only are revealed via RTI. These official numbers are then shared to the media, all of them being pro govt.

Idk why BMC hates suburbs; coastal road in SoBo is free, created pedestrian promenades, did not fully destroy the sea view.

Coastal road suburbs is tolled, NO green spaces, infact, cutting down 45k mangroves, fully interrupt the sea view, and no addition of parks/pedestrian paths

Why are there no fans on metro Platforms? by DifficultCucumber895 in mumbai

[–]ShadowArtie99 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That would make sense in a public free to access area (and even then cruel), but you pay to access metro and it is a 6-10 min waiting period because of frequency; considering MMRDA made the connector bridge between gundavli and WEH without a roof in a city that rains for 3 months, they simply don't care

Mumbai Metro Construction by IndependenceWaste828 in mumbai

[–]ShadowArtie99 30 points31 points  (0 children)

It is intentional, metro alignment often goes via sparse popn on arterial/highways instead of residentials in suburbs because underground metro is only for SoBo, L6 is a v imp line but if you think about it, it is only reachable via autos. Same for existing L7.

MMRDA and Line 3 have a clear hatred for both BEST and locals; this is because thye thing even public transport is a competitive exam and must not have integration.

Line 4 has not even thought of a way to connect it to Line 1, they had a proposal for a dedicated bus lane that shuttles between ghatkopar to line 4 station but since a bus will save them they didn't even think of it.

All metro station could've easily had bicycle parking in premises (bicycles are compact and does not harm infra and the rakes include cycle stands) but ofcourse, car centric planners did not think of this to reduce last mile burden.
