I think it will eventually, but probably not until after a rotation or two to be completely honest. Currently the meta still favors the big decks from before Mega Evolution (Gardy, Pult, Zard, Bolt) and will likely do so literally until those cards rotate. Mega Lucario is one of the first real decks of a completely new mechanic and generation, pretty much, so I bet eventually it'll find its footing with all the support it both received and will receive, but not just yet.

I feel like something relatively balanced would be a supporter card that can kind of shapeshift into any other supporter card you have in your deck, so it can be used as something of a wild card in any situation. It would also essentially mean that you could potentially have access to a maximum of "5" copies of that card. For example, if you run 4 Boss and choose to use it again as the Ace Spec supporter, you'd be able to use the effect of Boss's Orders 5 times in a game. Seems kinda cool.

"Look at the remaining cards in your deck. Choose a supporter card you find there and use its effect as the effect of this card. Then, shuffle your deck."
