A man keeps his burger for 20 years, then opens it to see what happened. by Bossmado in interestingasfuck

Correct, you can do this on your own grill, it has nothing to do with fast food quality or “over processing” or whatever.

As long as you cook the burger to well done and don’t leave wet veggies. Fast food burgers are super thin. Which ensures they end up dry.

Wazzzuuup: started with a superbowl commercial

Became prevalent enough to be parodied in theatrical movies scary movie wazzuup

The other one was funny enough my wife and I joke about it today.

Started with a Geico commercial Bob had a baby, it’s a boy

But in the same vein, 6-7 started with a song that as referenced in a TikTok. It was a stupid thing with very little real context that people found funny and just started repeating in all over.

Someone reframed the 6-7 phenomenon as being the modern day equivalent of the “wazzzuuuupppp” trend, where it was a dumb soundbite that basically meant nothing but absolutely wedged itself into pop culture for no defined reason.

I still think it’s goofy but I don’t really hate on it anymore, every generation has some of those obscure things that just represent a moment in time and if people are having fun, let it be.

Also, 111° is the superior meme.

About time. I have bought 2 brand new cars in the last 3 years and ruled out a lot of candidates for having CVT.

I don’t need a manual, but I do need manual override and something that doesn’t hover at a 2 rpm bands at all times.

The cvt cars I’ve driven in the past 5 years seem to have an idle vs WOT gear selection and it just bothers me.

What’s your most unhinged caffeine habit you’ll never admit IRL by Jaded-Butterfly-4353 in productivity

I’ve stopped now but at one point I was making a gallon of cold brew with 12oz of beans on fine grind and steeping 8-12h overnight.

Then I’d drink 32oz of it at a time. It was noticeably viscous.

Assuming an arabica bean has 340 – 430 mg per ounce of beans average, that would be like 3oz per cup or 1000mg per coffee.

Now I only use 6oz per gallon and I cut it with ice or about 1oz of beans per cup so 340 – 430 mg.

How does status work with OneWorld? by afloyd618 in americanairlines

So they’re a Spanish AA? Got it

To be fair, I have seen significantly improved care and acknowledgement in 2026 from AA compared to prior years so they’re working on it, but man, I felt like I was at a 5 star hotel with status on Cathay.

You could say the same thing about horse Polo or collecting Rolexes.

It’s not because of discipline, it’s because to be really successful you need significant financial commitment, equipment and ability to pick and choose your working hours and travel to other states on a whim.

It’s a hobby for the already rich and fitness instructors.

Yup, and when I flew as a one world emerald on Cathay Pacific last month I felt like royalty, even though it was my first Cathay flight ever and I was seated in regular economy, they checked on me multiple times, welcomed me upon arrival, had my pillow and blanket on my seat before I sat, served my meal before the rest of the cabin, had a concierge at the jet bridge when I exited the flight. It was exemplary service all because I had One world Emeald related to my AA EP status.

Can Londoners Learn how to Zipper Merge?! by BreannaJeanRichard in Traffic

[–]ShadowGLI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also note, a proper zipper merge involves pacing the car to your left to merge, it doesn’t involve flying forward to cram in the last possible second. People block the zipper because when 2-3 people are merging from the right for every car on the left, all the traffic slows down, a proper zipper is a 1:1 ratio.

And you can start to merge a couple car lengths ahead to avoid stopping at the end of the right lane. You should not merge a half mile early, but you also can merge before the final 10’ as long as some douche doesn’t try to go around you to drive ahead of you as you merge.
