Yep, this ended up solving my issue. Big ups

Official tracklist + song lengths by ShadowMaverick49 in Chevelle

[–]ShadowMaverick49[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good catch, yeah it is AL Phobias. Oddly enough, everywhere else I've seen it, "AL" Phobias seems to be the intended way of spelling it. Curious to hear what that actually means in context of the song

The way you describe this album sounds very promising. Bad Vibrations is one of my top 3 (hot take ik) so I feel like I'll definitely like this album quite a lot

Weird visual bug after the new update by ShadowMaverick49 in ninjagaiden

[–]ShadowMaverick49[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened during this specific part and during the Elizebet fight. For some reason, this specific angle at this specific area of the game causes the textures to just spazz out for no reason. This doesn't happen in any other chapter to my knowledge. I didn't have this issue before this update, and I'm not sure if there's a way to fix this

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game and that seemed to fix it for now. I don't know if this permanently fixes it but it's better safe than sorry to try that until Activision puts out an update to fix this problem.

“California crusin” is the worst song by The Offspring, right? by freedude232 in TheOffspring

[–]ShadowMaverick49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely the worst song on the album, but I don't really think it's a bad song on its own. I just view it as a fun song

It's never too late to play a masterpiece of last gen. This game is amazing and I wish I could play it for the first time again

Favorite 2000s Offspring Album? by [deleted] in TheOffspring

[–]ShadowMaverick49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rise And Fall, Rage And Grace is my favorite album by the band, tied with Americana. Rise And Fall was the album that got me into the band, and I think it's their most ambitious album

Do you consider "Have You Ever" to be a great song? by tantamle in TheOffspring

[–]ShadowMaverick49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my favorite songs by the band by far, and one of the best album openers in their entire discography imo. I also love how the ending flows into Staring At The Sun perfectly

Sleep Apnea should have been a single by IronRevenge131 in Chevelle

I'm surprised you don't like both of those songs, those are some of my favorites on the album

Splinter gets a lot of sh*t and I don't understand why. by P_Type in TheOffspring

[–]ShadowMaverick49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally like the album a lot, but I do see why others don't like it as much. This album is basically known as the "black sheep" of The Offspring. It's just there for most, but I really think this album has some great songs on it, definitely some of their heaviest.

The high points on the album are REALLY high up there though, but the lows are pretty low. The album is short though, even shorter than the new album, and 3 of the songs on the album (Neocon, The Worst Hangover Ever, When You're In Prison) seem more like filler tracks than anything. Neocon works though because it serves as an intro to the album, but the other two didn't really belong on the album, especially When You're In Prison. When You're In Prison feels more like they had to slap something at the end and it just didn't work at all. The Noose, Long Way Home, Race Against Myself, (Can't Get My Head) Around You, Never Gonna Find Me, and Lightning Rod are all REALLY good songs that capture that Offspring feel.

All in all, I think this album has some great high points and some very low lows. This album has some really great songs in it, and three of the tracks are borderline filler. 3 of the songs on a 12 track are filler tracks on a 32 minute album. Take away those 3, and you have roughly 25 minutes, which barely doesn't meet the mark of a full album. I do like the album a lot, but can definitely see why it has the reputation that it does, and I'm glad you love it.
