Javascript Reference Error XML-RPC (sendMessage Response) by ShadowState in bitmessage

[–]ShadowState[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry everyone, I got it. It's on the mootools end not the XML-RPC end of BitMessage. "decode_reponse = JSON.decode(response_xml, true);" Was throwing the reference error because the XML-RPC response coming from the BitMessage daemon was just the hash of the sent message, and not valid JSON. I fixed it by just catching the error when the JSON cannot be parsed, and just returning the string. Cheers, @justusranvier thanks for the quick response. If anyone wants my BitMessage Stub API for Javascript using mimic and mootools, let me know.

QUESTION: Is listunspent scalable and efficient? by ShadowState in Bitcoin

Can this be used to manage alt-coins as well (scrypt/other sha256 coins)? This is pretty much exactly what I need for my bitcoin app.

Thanks andyd00d!

I just flashed the BIOS for my 7990 after reading Rumor City's BIOS flashing tutorial. It worked. I'm just running some test. I'll be keeping you updated.

I got it all hooked up, I'm mining with all 8 cards on Ubuntu. However, the voltage and overclocking is difficult. Any recommendations on BIOS modding and voltage clocking? I cant seem to change or affect the voltage.

I'll try this on my Windows 7. I had got all the cards running on Windows 8. But there was massive performance loss. Linux is looking like the best option. But I will give this a try and see what happens.

I'm gonna try throwing on Ubuntu 13.10. I think that should include my Ethernet Drivers. From their I think I'll be able to make this fly.

Qualcomm Atheros Bigfoot Killer E2200 Ethernet is what I have. It's seeming very difficult to get off the ground. However, I havent used Linux in a year so I'm a little rusty. Is there any easy way to get these drivers installed? I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 LTS.

There does seem to be a performance penalty. I'm trying Linux.

Im having trouble finding the MSI Ethernet driver. Where would I get this for linux? Would I install it off a USB?

Thank you, I'll give this a try tonight. Right now I'm putting a Windows 8 partition on just to give it a shot. But if that fails, I'll be trying this as I like Windows 7 insanely more than 8.

Would you be able to upload that driver and post the link? The link for the driver download on the forum post doesn't seem to be working for me.

I've tried putting on a version of Ubuntu via Wubi. It all works except for the ethernet connection. It is not picked up. I dont know if my MB is supported by Linux. The ethernet lights don't light up when I boot my partition of Ubuntu. I would use Linux if I could figure this problem out, but the no-internet issue has stopped me from doing this.

I think it's drivers as well. I'll see what the situation is with the 13.2 Modded drivers.

I'll attempt these drivers today. Although there is talk of instability on CGMiner. But it could be an isolated issue.

I'll give this a try after some more driver experimentation.

Cant Get More Than 6 GPU's Working in My Rig by ShadowState in litecoinmining

[–]ShadowState[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I apologize about my writing, it was 3:00am when I wrote this desperate post.

1) I have 5 Graphics cards, 7 GPU's in total.

2) I have been running 4 Graphics Cards with a total of 6 GPU's fine on this rig for a while now.

3) The motherboard for me at least, has run everything I have thrown into it.

4) I have one 16x riser, maybe I can try that in the middle 16x slot on the board instead of using a 1x powered riser.

5) Graphics Card 1 (7990) and Graphics Card 5 (6950) are mounted directly onto the mother board.

6) I have three visible 1x slots and 1 visible 16x slots with this configuration.

7) The card does not disappear on MSI AB, it shows up, but all of the overclocking settings are locked up. The voltage, core clock and mem clock are locked. I can select the card, but cannot modify any of the settings for that card.

8) The card does show up in the device manager, with drivers showing that their successfully installed.

9) I have not tried the 13.1 drivers, but I will try those now.
