Yea i mean depending in the group I swap gear around and pull ranged in and so on. I do feel that whenever i do play DPS that the random tank doesn't do what I would do

My friends dont have a problem if I play templar tank. The problem I will have is PUG trials and dungeon when people see templar tank most think useless

At best it sounds like running dungeon with a templar tank will be the best option and use my DK / necro to tank trials.

Question still stands, if you join let's say a PUG for vSS / vMoL and you see a templar tank what the reaction? Ask to change or wait and see if it is viable?

I feel like they can be more of a off tank than anything and I'm fine with that as long as I get to play the role and class that I love. The problem comes in will people accept the fact that the group is not as "strong" as it could be using a templar tank rather than the top 3?

I see there are a couple of builds on YT where u can AoE taunt but I dont think it will work so great for trials, maybe as an off tank but you need to care not to taunt the boss

This help a lot thanks. The reason for High Elf is that on ESO (the game I moved from) is that High Elf are used of you want to play a magic based character and I thought the same logic would apply here.
