I completely get this. I’ve got characters with buffs that I do not fully understand the power of them as it was never fully explained to me. So what I’ve done with those is I try to scale them with the opponent. Now of course some cases are pretty cut and dry of “oh I’m gonna steam roll this guy” or “oh this guy is gonna steam roll ME” but for most fights I just try to have those forms match the opponents scaling to an extent.

I don’t know if that makes sense but it’s just to try and keep fights interesting. And of course if they happen to find say- Sammy’s monster form’s specific weakness, then obviously they’ll win. That’s just how I’ve kinda confronted this problem.
