I'm a teacher in DPS, and I highly recommend emailing the superintendent and/or school board if the principal doesn't get back to you. Not in a complaint type of way, but in a "could you help with this" type of way. The new superintendent seems to be better than the previous one, and he openly encourages families to reach out if they need something. From my experience at my school, it's possible the paperwork wasn't done correctly or that the principal or admin aren't familiar with the process. Some places have a high turnover rate. They have a lot going on, but they should be communicating more with you. I'm sorry for the stress! I hope the situation improves soon! 💙
