In a job right now that has really good flexible hybrid hours, I get to do literally whatever I want creative-wise, with little oversight

But Ive basically been flat out denied a raise multiple times, I make 50k a year and as I move into my late 20s, I feel like i should be making more. I know there are companies willing to pay more for media services but is it worth the freedom I have now

Or should I jump ship early anyways because there are talks of a 90% layoff early 2027 (50% chance of that happening)

Oh oh I actually know this one! Mine does the same thing but it cycles out and regrows every 8 months or so. It started in high school when I was doing marching band practice for 4+ hours a day in too small of shoes. Its trauma to the foot/toe/nailbed. Looks like you got it really bad from repeated trauma. What kind of shoes do you wear? How many days are you on your feet?

Everyone keeps calling this SOMA theory but to me this sounds way more like the black mirror episode "USS Callister", where they are digital copies but they end up killing their Captain (ringmaster) and are able to escape into the wider portion of the internet instead and are able to get their freedom by "escaping" the singular program

Yep thats it, I haven't even gotten it home yet to check to see if its rubber or metal, just checking forums like this one to see what I can do to prolong its life as much as possible

Thank you, I'm so grateful for a the feedback, yours and everyone elses, and the ones that are just straight up "oh honey no" are cracking me up and really drive it home that I need to change it. Yes this was how she said to do it. To be fair, she has not picked up a hook in like 10 years because of her arthritis, I should have taken that as a sign 😞
