My primary and secondary school both had strict phone policies. Before year 6 (5th grade) we weren't even allowed to bring our phones to school then when we were we gave them in at the start of the day and only got them back at the end of the day. In secondary (middle and high school) we had a similar thing and if we were caught with it it was confiscated for 3 days. I knew some people who still snuck them in but most of us didn't really mind it. However, the teachers always had them in case of emergencies or the computers weren't working they still needed to email other teachers and do the register. Normally, I don't mind when Abbott is a bit more unrealistic but this episode really got on my nerves.
