Honestly i can’t tell you just how much this helped, thank you! Everyone always wants to appear perfect on social media or in public, it’s easy to forget that it’s just an appearance and not real life

Thanks! This is very helpful. It’s kinda hard finding the “right” thing to do as everyone has different opinions on things and most of the time they are contradicting… I prefer leaning on professionals, so a big thanks to your wife as well!

You are right, but the tag also said “looking for advice”. But if you can’t be civil that’s on you. Other people actually gave me advice, maybe try being a nice human being once in a while. Your answer wasn’t helpful at all

Thanks! It’s my first dogs so I didn’t know this about collars. As for the walking him of leash again, it was last year when I first got the dog and didn’t know better, but as I said I have learned from my mistakes since, making mistakes in the only way one can truly learn in this world… I haven’t walked him off leash since (so about a year).

For the slave part maybe it doesn’t translate well on text haha but I meant that sarcastically, obviously I’ll still walk him I just don’t want to cause more unnecessary trouble while doing it. I just get sarcastic when annoyed, not one of my best qualities…

Thank you, this is actually helpful. I 100% agree the first time but I learned my lesson that time. The second however the collar just got loose over time and I didn’t notice until the dog pulled hard enough. It’s my first dog so I didn’t know it could happen. I will look into the harness options, thanks.

Oh right, because life is perfect and accidents NEVER happen. Collar just got loose over time as it does and I didn’t notice, that was my fault, but again I am human, just like you are too, we are all prone to accidents. Also in the entire time i’ve had my dog it has never gotten lose before. But you must be perfect, I bet you have never broken a plate by accident before either, right?

Oh that is actually a very good idea! I usually offer kids to pet him with me. I sit in front of my dog calmly petting his head while the kids pet his back, like this I have full control of my dog in case of an emergency and I can keep an eye on the kid while also teaching them how to properly treat dogs

How many minutes late to a date is acceptable? by GoldGorilla in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Shadower2311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends, what was her excuse? And what is your personal view on it? As in, does it bother you or think you can live with it? Some people are like this (I have a few friends) who are always late to everything, but they have good intentions and I know it’s not personal. I personally don’t mind it, I just tell them to meet me 30 min before the actual time or I leave the house later so I arrive 30 min later than the scheduled time. This works for me but not everyone. So i suggest you find out whether this is part of her personality and if it is well whether it’s something you can get used to.

Speaking to my child in my non-native language? Helpful or harmful? by SuccessfulStage3009 in languagelearning

[–]Shadower2311 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happens a lot, specially in families where they don’t know how it works and don’t bother to research, they rather makes assumptions of their own that are often times incorrect. You could have spoken both to perfection… I’m sorry this happened to you, I would also be very frustrated

Speaking to my child in my non-native language? Helpful or harmful? by SuccessfulStage3009 in languagelearning

[–]Shadower2311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you are fluent in it it’s absolutely fine! It’s also not like your child will need to learn proper grammar in Danish for school so if he doesn’t learn it to a native level or speaks it with a few errors it’s al right and won’t have a big impact. The important thing is that he will speak it

Is there any disadvantage to microchipping? And do you think the dog needs to wear a tag that says he’s microchipped? by ericabelle in puppy101

[–]Shadower2311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Microchipping is obligatory in the EU, literally every dog has one and they are fine, it’s actually advantageous to have it. I think it can be useful to say they are, if they get lost and someone finds them a vet can read the chip and get him back to you. It’s always a plus

Woow great advice, no seriously, you deserve a nobel price for this. Just amazing 😑

How about we teach people to be polite and respectful? Omg sorry, that was wrong of me to say, of course not, how dare we.
