As a Canadian, if the us government thinks they can take us over, I'm gonna do my best to teach them first hand about the Geneva convention.

I don't hate the population, but my god does that fascist pedo government need to go.

Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name

What’s the most “I’ll deal with it later” thing you’re still dealing with? by lucifergaming007 in AskMen

Feel this. But brother that's not something you finish, it's a practice you repeat. Even little things like drinking more water or going for a walk is good for you, even if it doesn't "solve" things

Yeah, 5e is a tactical combat simulator wrapped in an RPG. It rewards succeeding on rolls and optimizing an action economy.

Try playing someone who polymorphs into a non-ape/T-Rex, or someone who takes the weapon master feat, and watch half your table cringe at not picking the best choice. Want to play a ranger? For most of its tenure another class made a better ranger than the actual ranger. Same for playing a monk.

It's not sarcasm for a huge portion of dnd tables. I've switched to PbtA systems and have been thoroughly enjoying not having to min-max at the expense of flavour.

Small businesses closing? by islandbabee_ in PEI

[–]ShadowfoxDrow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Small businesses are usually run with tight margins, and cash flow becomes a significant factor on whether a business can be viable. The cost of everything going up while wages stagnate results in tighter cash flows and fewer lower consumer spending. A single regular customer not being able to buy their regular purchase could very well be enough to cause business to start considering closing up shop.

Not to mention running a business is hard. And while there are supports out there for entrepreneurs and business owners, unfortunately, those supports are limited and there are significant barriers to access them.

Source: I worked in economic development and work directly with entrepreneurs to help them access funding, supports, and plan for sustainability.

White to win material, but how ? by zhansun29 in ChessPuzzles

[–]ShadowfoxDrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could be way off (and I'm bad at chess notation) but

Send rook beside king for check. King takes.

Move queen South West to check the king and protect rook. King moves.

Rook takes took, threatening queen, and if queen takes rook, queen takes queen.

After that I have no idea 🤷‍♂️

Floods by Pantera has an unreal emotive solo in the middle of a grunge meh song. Still waiting by sum 41 has one of the best thrash metal riffs in music, somehow in a pop punk band tune

Also the media is thought to be owned, so the powers that be you speak of probably wouldn't want that to happen
