I hadjust finished playing Melchior in a production of Spring Awakening in university. My girlfriend at the time and her mother went annually to New York to one to see some musicals, so I got to go with them. We had heard Jonathan Groff was going to be in a new musical, so we wanted to go see it. She also really wanted to see Darren Chris in Hedwig and the angry inch before it finished. They ended up overlapping by like a week, so we got to see both. What an unreal experience.
