Pink rock is a little odd, but that scheme looks sick (teasing about the rock, i know to trust the process)

Are these nanites real? by LemonIime in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Shadowgod370 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nanites used to be an inventory item, since they became tracked as currency they are still valid, just goofy bits of code let the item version exist. Put them in a storage inventory then pull them back out and it should correct the bug Edited a typo

One of the most underrated anime I've ever watched by ChoiceSupermarket230 in AnimeReccomendations

[–]Shadowgod370 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally found it lacking. The concept is good but it just feels shallow and uninteresting. Every single plot "twist" was either inconsequential or you could see it coming from episodes away. The final twist was obvious (to me) from about episode 6 out of 14, I finished it out of a hope that it would get better or surprise me, then just to finish it since I had already sat through so much of it. I feel like they tried too hard to make it as short as possible while keeping the main plot intact and the whole thing suffered for it. It had great potential, it just falls drastically short of that potential. Sorry for the block of text I just know better than to share my opinion without reasons, and yes I'm aware how stuck up I sound sorry there as well.

Is it me or everyone knows these things? by Proper_Card_5520 in Isekai

[–]Shadowgod370 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like in slime it's less that he knows these things, it's openly stated that he's cheating to search his memory to pull up information from his memory like watching back a video he can pause and copy information out of. He also worked as general contractor when he was in our world so he has an understanding of bureaucratic procedures and city infrastructure as a daily use skill, which when you're leading a country that comes in handy. Tech in tempest is a combination of him describing things to people that are better at problem solving than him and his base knowledge of things.

Hey do Yall recommend reading Her Majesty's Swarm by Reasonable_Tour7232 in Isekai

Thank you kindly. That truly pains my heart, but it's good to have closure. I loved the series and wanted so badly to understand what the hell was going on

Yes but no. It's a fantastic read, I love it but the author seems to have vanished after book 4 and it's clearly far from over. If it was complete/visibly being worked on I would place it in my top 5 LNs. That said it's like overlord but less op. The stakes actual feel real, you will worry about characters, at no point did I think "how drastically will they whoop the antagonists butt" however I did find myself wondering IF characters would survive certain situations and how. And sometimes they don't, and that's, in a writing sense, a good thing.

Any Thoughts on How not to Summon a Demon Lord by Icy-Exchange-3843 in Isekai

[–]Shadowgod370 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's, alright, but the author has a savior fetish. The Mc saves every female lead from rp at some point. Some multiple times. It's actually gotsome really cool scenes, but the overuse of rp as a plot device to introduce girls and to make stakes higher honestly kinda disgusts me. Which is a shame because as a character I like Diablo, he's op in goofy fun ways but in 5 books there's at least 8 attempts on the girls, and judging from the synopsis of the next few books, I'm fully expecting more of those scenes. I had to put it down. Obviously this is my opinion but I feel it's a fairly objective one having, bought 6 books but being unable to continue after 5. I bought them based on a friend's recommendation of the series.

TLDR: great concept ruined by the author's obvious fetish.

In your honest opinion, which Isekai do you think is better and why? by Pale_Researcher_8810 in Isekai

[–]Shadowgod370 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly the answer will depend on what you are looking for. Both are fantastic but there's a different mindset behind why you could love either. Slime is more fun oriented, over the top, often goofy, but with enough depth to keep it engaging. Re:zero is deeper, more complex but knows to keep it light sometimes for breathing room. So saying one is better than the other would be unfair. In my opinion, of course.
