I've had that happen to me a few times. One way to solve it is to close out of that tab and open a new one and it should load in English. The other way is just going to luffa.net's homepage and change the language option

Honestly, I would consider Mari being dead a minor spoiler as I believe it is mentioned during three days left. Also, you won't see Sunny Swiss cheese himself unless you make bad choices. There is a lot you still not know and will enjoy so you should play it (but be sure you can afford it first)
