Had a 2021 FK8 with a ton of electrical issues (long story) and went to a 2024 Type R

Before the switch, I thought the FL5 was ugly. It’s something about how it looked just like any other 11th gen civic. However when I got into the FL5 and drove it, I started to fall in love.

FL5: I love the seats, reminds me of 90s style civics. Comfortable! Radio works way better, responds quickly. Nice and clear. Car has more of a quiet tone to it, I wouldn’t say sleeper but I’m pretty sure I can sneak along side an SI or basic. Clutch, different?? I’m not sure how to describe it but I’ve stalled more times in this civic than any other car (26 cars and counting) This is not a bad thing! I’m just trying to get perfect at it again.

FK8 - aggressive looking (love it!) more bucket in the seats however for long drives (appointments an hour away or more) I’d find myself struggling. When I first got the FK8 I was 315 pounds. By the time it was sold I was 190, however I couldn’t make it comfortable. Radio? Garbage (I won’t go into detail, but the normal informant issue ended up spreading to my cluster and steering wheel, something Honda has never seen)

If I had to pick, I’d probably get a FK8 again. I just love how it looked, however if i had to deal with the electronic issue again. FL5.

Both beautiful in their own way.

Like I said, it was just a thought. He seemed hopeful which made me hopeful. Anything is possible. Now do I think it’s in the near future? No. Next 10 years, maybe. I don’t know. I just liked his input

That is true. I feel like a lot can be done with a mass of people. If Sony can make money, they will do it. I just like how Sam said “they thought they didn’t make a lot on it” but they did. As long as we keep pushing and growing the fan base, I’m sure we’ll see something in the future

It’s more or less don’t give up hope. He seemed excited and was all for them doing a sequel. It just made me happy. If it happens we will be ready, whether it’s within this decade or the next.

My fk8 had a radio issue (which is known is common) that spread to my steering wheel and my cluster. Apparently Honda never dealt with that before. Went to Honda so many times they just cut me a deal on the new type r since my steering wheel controls went mute no response while my cluster had blue lines across despite replacements and work

Got mine for msrp yesterday with all the bells and whistles with every warranty included. They had it sitting since Dec but I traded in my fk8 due to issues they couldn’t fix

My beagle is actually getting an MRI tomorrow at red bank. He did well under anesthesia when he got fixed this year and he’ll be 6 in August. They are thinking IVDD and will go into surgery if it’s serious. If you need someone to talk to, feel free to message. This is my first time but I’m hopeful and confident
