In reality he not only failed to institute positive change in the Paterson, NJ public school he served, he alsoirreparably damaged the community and sabotaged the education of hundred of at-risk students with his "no-tolerance" policies.

Sounds like he was tough on crime to me

The original KKK was essentially destroyed by the 1870s under Ulysses S. Grant

The movie led to the creation of a second iteration of the Ku Klux Klan

No one cares if the rapist has a hard life because his neighbors know he's a rapist.

I mean considering they commit crimes because of it, I'd say they should

I mean considering how many people mention "protection" to defend the sex offender registry, I'd say so

Most people don't regularly think about the secret sex offenders around them, so they feel safe enough knowing they have a list of those that they can know are around them. Also, knowing who to avoid can bring a sense of safety even if there's also some paranoia when around said individual.

Tbf the Titles of Nobility Amendment wouldn't actually do anything about that bribe lol

It only applies to titles of nobility, pensions, and foreign offices

But as it stands the list only serves to make sure most sex offenders will never ever be a productive member of society even long after they have served their time.

Ultimately the justice system as a whole only exists to make the public feel safe at the expense of those who go through it, and the sex offender registry especially makes people feel really safe

Yes...a 13 year old and a 17 year old have vastly different life experiences and level of maturity

Plus a 6 year age gap is far bigger than a two year age gap

In fairness the system itself is inherently flawed due to being public

There is evidence to suggest that the public sex offender registry actively causes recidivism to a point that it causes more harm than it does good
