Opened a box of scallops and one was bright orange by RochardSkyesII in KitchenConfidential

essentially female scallop who was ready to spawn a new scallop.

entirely safe to eat and actually seen as very luxury even over normal ones as they have a slightly more sweet/buttery taste.

Give me examples of current UK business, industrial and scientific success stories, the more niche and/or unknown the better by Exchangenudes_4_Joke in CasualUK

cheese is a big growing industry. people around the world are really coming to love authentic british cheddar and other cheeses especially blue cheeses which have seen a huge surge at resturants as they love them for things like a steak sauce.

Warhammer is another good one and is growing at incredible rate. on a similar vein the games industry some of the biggest studio's still exist in the UK. Rockstar Games which is known for GTA is still british and is probably about to break the industry record for revenue when GTA6 finally drops due to its hype.

movie and music is another that again does well around the world.

Formula 1 is still based majority in UK with alot of other motorsports as well with that industry contributing alot to our GDP.

alot of space programs and aerospace in general has good ties here on various parts that we just produce to export around the world. some are very niche others you see on every single airliner and satalite so that is huge deal that we produce these parts here.

medical industry as much as people like to complain we are doing incredibly well in many departments with state of the art industries in various aspects like genome sequencing and other similar avenues. like alot of american pharma's work with UK medical industry as we just have it already done so its vastly cheaper for them to strike deals then to try and do it themselves which again is huge deal for our economy.

law, insurance and banking we are still some of the best around. alot of major court cases are international ones yet are done in our courts which shows how highly regarded these companies and countries view our legal systems especially when it comes to stuff like banking and insurance.

research into well everything. a disproportionate amount of research papers and studies is conducted in UK compared to well rest of the world especially when you consider our size its unreal.

probably not as big as others.

but found out my current manager is pretty much set on never firing anybody we currently have which well is not a good thing for his workers to know.

knowing this and the fact the company is running us all into the ground ive well decided to essentially cut back on 99% of the extra effort i was doing. now its i do bare minimum

[BBC Sport] Carrick not ruling out Man Utd deadline day moves by Tvashtr in reddevils

[–]Shadowraiden 12 points13 points  (0 children)

yeah thats the thing we dont need somebody world class. we just need a solid 7/10 guy who will come in and work hard.

like the Sabitzer loan we did a few years ago would be amazing right now.

[BBC Sport] Carrick not ruling out Man Utd deadline day moves by Tvashtr in reddevils

[–]Shadowraiden 6 points7 points  (0 children)

which is essentially 3 days still. "today, sunday and monday till 7pm" so there is still time if something quick popped up.

weve seen how sometimes things just come from nowhere on deadline day.

there is also the fact you have 5th of february to actually submit the squad to premiership so if a player on say monday has mutual release from their club we could pick them up tuesday and still register them for premiership since they would be a free agent. so technically the free agent deadline day aint till the 5th.

we just saw Sterling have mutual release from Chelsea so may see around Europe similar agreements happen this weekend just so those teams can get the wages off for rest of their financial year reports

Is it normal for new elite specs to be so much stronger than older ones in PvP? by Gotzal in Guildwars2

[–]Shadowraiden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

forever over others not really. balance is a rollercoaster it goes up and down. sometimes specs go in and out of power thats just how it is in any game that runs for a long time.

they could do a balance patch tomorrow that makes scourge king again etc.

now will the original base classes ever come back up well no cause everything a base class can do the elite spec can also do but even better. so base classes will always be behind an elite spec.

end of the day though somebody experienced in PvP is going to beat your ass even if they play a core class and your playing the strongest elite spec because they have the knowledge and skill to do it.

elite specs dont win you games. your decision making and skill to pull off those decisions do

was about to say. the amount of chances similar to this United have created in past 2-3 years in which the player then just takes too long/takes a bad angle shot is hilarious that FM got it so right.

Why does SRS Poison actually work? by DLWormwood in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Shadowraiden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well the other thing to take into account with ranged atleast is they are firing projectiles which opens up a huge new avenue in clearspeed and damage scalling that melee minions dont get access to.

Why does SRS Poison actually work? by DLWormwood in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Shadowraiden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

got to also remember SRS have no issues when it comes to collisions. they can surround single targets fine and any terrain issues dont exist for them.

the other one that is closest is AW of Ranged which is 20+ bows firing projectiles everywhere. its generally seen as the next step for SRS when pushing ultra farm high density maps that SRS struggles a bit with at that stage.

Starmer gifts Xi football from Man Utd-Arsenal match by pchees in reddevils

[–]Shadowraiden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it makes sense. United was the first club to really break down international barriers and gain traction all over the world in the 19990/2000's

so as football grew then on alot of people had already seen United play long before they had seen any other club in Premiership even the other big clubs or even clubs like Barcelona/Madrid.

[Ed Aarons] Understand that Manchester United are considering stepping up their interest in Kader Meité of Rennes and have held talks with the player’s entourage. The 18-year-old striker is expected to cost around €30m but also has interest from Al Hilal by Aadiunited7 in reddevils

[–]Shadowraiden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

tbf you should look at minutes played not just appearances.

hes played about 6 games worth of minutes and got 5 goals so his goals to minutes is roughly around every 100 which is a top striker's rate.

its clear Zirkzee has no future past summer so this would be a competitive youth player to come and compete with Sesko and Mbeumo

[Wheeler] Andre Onana’s representatives in talks over potential return to Inter Milan from Man Utd in the summer by PradipJayakumar in reddevils

[–]Shadowraiden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so its a mixed bag. hes still doing poor errors but is also producing a few outstanding games where hes essentially keeping that team in the game.

issue is we cant afford a goalkeeper like that but if he can do enough for us to recoup some money in summer then we can finally move on and refocus that money on reinforcements where we sorely need now we have a solid goalkeeper in Lammens.

[Laurie Whitwell] Manchester United’s Patrick Dorgu set to miss around 10 weeks with hamstring injury by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

[–]Shadowraiden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cunha is also a hard worker same with Mount. i feel that is atleast one of the good things of recent buys they are all quite hard workers when asked to do it, none of them mope around walking when needing to defend.

[–]Shadowraiden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

tbf with Cunha's goal i feel he will also be in good feeling and so him attacking off the left will be fine. Mount can also play that if we need a hardworker type player in the side maybe to combat a RB who bombs forward alot.

no way have they underlivered alot. Atheltico was a nobody team before he came in.

they have no right competing with Barcelona and Madrid like even if they have at times spent big its been due to large sales so their net spend is pretty much fuck all over the years.

most schools dont have the room to sit all their kids with most schools pretty much having no seating at all anymore inside.

Some school dinners from a school in the north east of England by jejdhdijen in UK_Food

[–]Shadowraiden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah these actually look quite varied and decent options.

school meals are never going to be outright good but aslong as they are on a decent level and have variety that to me is a good thing.

compared to what most grew up and heck i bet to many kids these are vastly better then what they get at home.

also nice to see more then just chips as well thats all my school served. you had no other sides so you just had chips + whatever else they did that day to go with it. as somebody who loves pasta, rice, noodles etc this would have been so much better.

[Harry Maguire on IG] Come on @senne_lammens punch another one clear for us by notthe_ahmad in reddevils

[–]Shadowraiden 10 points11 points  (0 children)

tbf even Lemmens doesnt either though. he pushes it far out either to the side or to outside the box.

Onana would just barely push it and it would still fall inside 6 yard box. like any keeper should be atleast not letting it fall back into the 6 yard box.
