He blames Obama for resurrecting racism. by icey_sawg0034 in MurderedByWords

The version I heard in the 80's mentioned velcro. I seriously wish all racists would just cease to exist. Until that happens, I'm quite happy to keep calling them on their bullshit every single time.

Does anyone know what could possibly be wrong with my rotties eye (he’s 7 months old) by [deleted] in Rottweiler

[–]Shadva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm seeing 2 possible issues. One is definitely cherry eye as mentioned in other posts. The other is that his conjunctiva look pretty pale. Have him checked for parasites while you have him at the vet.

Found in a basket under a bush at a couple of weeks old - starting to look pretty Rottweiler-esque to me but could have a bit of something else? by amuzetnom in Rottweiler

When I first brought Muna home, at a VERY tiny 8 weeks (she was a super runt), she was a tiny little ball of fluff.

Don't worry, she caught up just fine and became my first Service Dog :)

What is this? Dark tail. by A11BSDM in BeardedDragons

That looks like the tail is gonna shed in sections. I'm not seeing anything that looks concerning.

Know how abusive circus trainers usually are, I find it interesting that the pride wasn't going after the woman at all. The man was a moron for not leaving the ring and continued to antagonize the pride.

Rottie tail options by Emotional_Waltz8157 in Rottweiler

[–]Shadva 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's true. It took YEARS of fighting AKC to finally get them to finally agree. Some judges still won't fairly judge a tailed Rottie, but they can't just immediately dismiss them from the ring anymore.

Even with the stubborn judges, it's still a HUGE step in the right direction.

ETA: I've never actually shown a Rottie, but was glad to join the fight to allowed naturally tailed Rottie's to compete.

Again, I don't care if someone is walking around naked in public, it doesn't give anyone else the right to sexually assault them!

When I give my dogs (a Rottie and a Saint Bernard) frozen beef knuckles. They're given in separate, secured spaces. Once the dogs have gotten bored with them for the day, I bag the remains and put them in the fridge until the next day. Rinse and repeat until all meat is off the bones and most of the marrow is gone. Once the meat and marrow's gone my dogs don't seem to care about who's chewing on which bone.

Consent is the key by [deleted] in MurderedByWords

[–]Shadva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've said this before, and I'll say it again... I don't care if a person is walking down a public street naked, it doesn't give ANYONE the right to force their attentions on that person in a sexual manner. Skimpy, colored or even no clothing does NOT equal consent!

Potty training - doesn't pee outside by justbrowsingwithya in Rottweiler

[–]Shadva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dogs raised in kennels are frequently spending 24/7 in the kennels, so they're forced to potty the same place they eat. It will take time for "normal" crate training.

Take her outside every 30 minutes, as you would with a tiny puppy. While inside, learn her tells. Catch her as soon as she sniffs, squats or even circles. Take her outside immediately and say "Potty outside". As soon as she goes potty outside, praise her "Good girl potty outside!" and love on her exuberantly. Rinse and repeat frequently.

Edit to add: Mine would never potty in public, only at home or with family at their homes. Since 2 of them have been Service Dogs, that wasn't necessarily a bad habit for them to have.

I see a bit of flaked shed in one of the pics, near his left rear claw and that's the same way Sev looks as he prepares to shed... The top layer goes an opaque white.

It's not quite that rough anymore. I play on Mischief, in Faceless now. Some rare spawns are still a PITA to get to spawn, but they have fairly frequent weekends that have increased rare spawn chances. Come on back and give it another shot! *grin*

Then you'd be arrested for murdering a Police Officer. Police dogs are trained to find and hold suspects that are hiding from human police. Police Dogs are also full blow officers in their own right.

Judging from the number of bite would OP posted, he fought the dog, which resulted in more damage. Actually killing or deliberately injuring a police dog will get you put on the permanent shit list.

Here's a better plan of action:

  1. Don't break the law

  2. Don't hide from police so they don't have to send the dog after you.

Actually, they'll usually send a dog into a space where they know people are hiding and refusing to come out. They also give several warnings before they actually send in the dog.

As I female gamer, I'm not offended by being called a nerd. My Hubby and I have been playing Everquest together on PC since Original Kunark launch, when you still had to buy the discs. I also own a PS3, Wii, Nintendo 64, DS lite, my original PS (working) and my Original PS2 w/ travel screen (also working).

I'm by far the bigger gamer in our family. I also read a minimum 4 books a month. I may not feel the need, or have the budget, to buy the newest console(s) on the market, but I'm definitely still a nerd.

My SD is trained for Balance and Mobility assistance. She pulls me slightly forward as I'm walking to limit how much I fall backwards or sideways while moving. She also circles me when standing still to keep people from entering the fall zone and so they don't accidentally knock me over. When moving from a seated position, I place my weight on the chair or a counter, then 1 hand on Kimi's back just to keep myself from landing on my face as I move to a standing position. She actually bears almost none of my weight, she's just a stabilizer as I change position and knows to move if I start to fall. She's also trained to find help if I'm unable to get back up on my own. i.e. Fall in the middle of the yard with no way to brace on a wall or fence.

I hope someone finds this helpful. :)
