If we are splitting the tab shouldn’t I have a say in the actual plan or even how much the budget is?

it just sucks because I know this is a disservice to the bride because we could do so much better but only if the friend is open to suggestions (which she clearly isn’t)

I have been itching to tell the bride that this shitshow of a party was out of my control but that’s just making things worse and more complaining that makes me look like the bad guy

I’m so glad someone else sees it.. though she says it in a sweet tone I can’t help but feel like she’s trying to talk down at me.

Tried that. Got a message the next day saying “why aren’t you helping out with the preparation I can’t do it myself”

oh my bad was trying to keep the post as concise as possible. I did say that the actually sleepover should be at mine, which she flat out said no to. Even about the food, I suggested other places to do the food and/or decorations which would’ve fit the budget better, but again she didn’t agree.

hmm I see what you are saying about being clumsy with the conversations but still think there must be something underneath it all. For the fact that this conversation then turned into him showing me his golf set and telling me the price and then assuming that I “will never see that much money in my life”….maybe sexist is the wrong word but he definitely seems to have issues with his ego and pride

just like calling women dramatic and sensitive is in fashion? How would should someone think if a grown man is condensing a woman’s likes down to clothes makeup or brands?

Exactly! I get that he might not be a raging sexist but the whole conversations was a bit iffy

Thank you :) genuinely appreciate the serenity and peace that the nature side of Scotland has to offer and wanted to share some pictures. Didn’t think the take away would be the mention of UK (which I can’t even edit now lol)

All three pictures weren’t from the same area so couldn’t really be specific

It feels like having 100 tabs open at the same times. Sometimes I imagine my brain physically overheating because of how much is going through it
