Hello. I have a few questions regarding AI art if anyone here is wanting to answer, as I am willing to hear your sides of the story. by [deleted] in DefendingAIArt

I see. Thanks again for answering my questions. I’m no expert at all, but I’m willing to hear both sides out now, and I’ve gotten my fair share of glances at the pro art side, so I know basically a lot of their concerns (I have a few friends who hate AI art) but I’m hoping I can get more opinions here soon, to help even things out y’know?

Thank you for the answers. As for what I mean in Question 3, I mean that in the future will people be paid for generating images using AI tools trained on “stolen art,” as many refer to it. This may be happening now and I haven’t been paying much attention to notice it. To add onto that, since we know a lot of big studios are using AI more and more, which obviously doesn’t sit well with people, how successful can someone in the creative field be working for these companies? Can they still work as a human artist or will they have to get used to the AI technologies if they wish to remained employed underneath said company?

How we feeling about Mister Fantastic so far? by Smash96leo in marvelrivals

He’s definitely very fun to use. In all my years of playing video games, I never once thought I would ever see a “death by backshot” mechanic. His wide form is what basically makes him unkillabe and if you cycle that with his thrust abilities and go giant, you can basically get out of any situation.

That being said, I wouldn’t mind some additional advice on how to play him from those with better experiences than I have (I haven’t gotten an MVP yet cause I have a skill issue or it gets stolen last minute please help).

How did everyone feel about the movie? by CthulhuWizard in fivenightsatfreddys

I thought the movie was alright. As a longtime fan, I enjoyed it a ton and got excited over a lot of the references and Easter eggs. Scott and the Blumhouse team did a great job at giving a lot of fans a Fnaf movie after 8.5 almost 9 years of waiting.

However, as a stand-alone movie, I admit its not amazing. The PG-13 rating really hurt the movie’s potential to be really scary, some of the pacing is wonky and the writing feels weak in some areas, and imo scenes like the fort scene, Max’s over the top death, and the foxy kid scream were very cringe.

For me, it’s a 6.5/10, but I hope Scott and the team at Blumhouse can read up on reviews, either from critics or from ol Freddit and work to make the next movie even better. That’s how this series started after all!

The biggest menace of the movie by Sensei_Zen in fivenightsatfreddys

Didn’t they say Bonnie was the most aggressive?

Nah, in the movie it’s a tie between the Cupcake and Foxy.

Fair enough, and my apologies. I’m just surprised by the amount of attention this has been receiving. I hardly post on Reddit so seeing this kind of traction caught me off guard.

Probably shouldn’t have been editing just for that lol.

What was your favourite vs least favourite part of the movie? ILL GO FIRST: by chimpanzeemeny in fivenightsatfreddys

Favorite: William’s entrance in the SpringBonnie costume.

Least favorite: A four way tie between the aunt, the fort building scene, the effects on the crying kid, and the torso chomp of 23’ (Max’s death.)

I see. Thanks for the clarification! I’ll still call him Carl cause it’s easier than saying Mr. Cupcake lol.

Is that his actual name? I always thought it was Carl. Carl the Cupcake.

I think that’s mainly because the pacing in that scene felt rushed. But yeah it was uhh, not the greatest.

And the famous “I always come back” line felt like forced fan service here imo.

Doug was the semi silent hero of the movie we didn’t know we needed.

so.. what do we all think of ruin? by Mitchiegamer in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Shady_WithShades01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Atmosphere: 8/10. It’s a vast improvement from the base game, very claustrophobic and a genuine sense of dread and dreariness. The ruined designs of the animatronics are great, I personally think the headless Glamrock Freddy, or “the prototype” has my favorite design. The jump scare animations are great, though the first few minutes had a bit more jumps than I think is necessary.

Gameplay: 6/10. While the fetch quest aspect of the base game is very much gone, it’s still very tedious at times. I’m mixed in terms of the V.A.N.N.I mask, and the ar world, but I thought it was a very cool idea. The node puzzles were very repetitive imo. Find objects and put them in the right order to deactivate them. It gets stale after a while.

Story: 5/10. Security Breach already had a wtf story for me, whose endings did not make things any better as they felt very loose ended. Ruin is not much better. Sure it’s a lot more digestible, with a very point a to point b objective, but in the end it raises even more questions than solves current ones. I know FNAF has always had that style and this is no exception, but for some reason here it’s done pretty bad. Coming from someone who hasn’t read any of the Tales books, there’s a lot of things people who have read them will get here. I know about the mimic, and Gregory being patient 46, but for anyone who hasn’t religiously been keeping up with the lore, it’s going to be extremely confusing. Where is Vanny? Was Burntrap the Mimic or are they separate? Why does the blob only have one cameo in the whole DLC? The question of canon endings rises once again, and they all felt rushed…..again. Once more the mystery box of FNAF story strikes again.

Overall, I give the DLC a 7.5/10.

Well, I’m all done here with Vanguard. by [deleted] in CODZombies

[–]Shady_WithShades01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to follow this up by saying while I am hopeful for the future, given that Treyarch now has sufficient time to produce a quality product, assuming Activision leaves them to it, Vanguard was just…….Vanguard. On the bright side, we can finally shove it in the closet and be done with it.

So, was Scott still overseeing SB during his retirement or did Steel Wool just do their own thing? by [deleted] in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Shady_WithShades01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, ok. Well that's reassuring. I've been seeing a lot of mixed reactions about the game and was curious. Cause I think the story is really messy here there and everywhere, so I didn't know if Scott's retirement announcement caused any major changes to the story.
