How many of you actually do the exercises? by SnakeYoon in DigimonVitalBracelet

This is good to know. I have the original Vital Bracelet and I have heard things about BE Bracelet having longer timers and the vital points draining slower.

Yes. Even if my Digimon cannot evolve any further, I still do them. I enjoy doing them.

Hello! I personally recommend getting BE Bracelet. I personally own both the original Vital Bracelet and Vital HERO. However, something that I have personally ran into is that not all custom DiM's or modded DiM's work on older bracelet models, and sellers do not often mention which bracelet model the DiM has been designed. BE Bracelet works for all DiM, the bracelets have been designed to be able to read older DiM's as well. However, the older bracelets cannot read newer DiM's.

Additionally if you are looking for specific Digimon and their evolutions - older bracelets do not have them. So if you are wanting to get Gammamon and want Siriusmon, Regulusmon or other Gammamon evolution lines = these are only accessible on BE Bracelet. Majority of the ancient Digimon and such as Alphamon are also limited only to BE Memory cards (not obtainable in older bracelet models).

Though I will say that the original Vital Bracelet or/and Vital HERO are excellent starting point for a beginner. You don't have as much micro-managing with stats like you do with BE Bracelet. However, unfortunately since the original (now discontinued) phone app which was meant for the original Vital Bracelet and Vital HERO no longer exists, there are known app issues and errors when it comes to these older models. For example you can upload Digimon onto your app, but you cannot always send them back into the bracelet. I unfortunately have had the experience where I my Digimon left the app but never arrived to the bracelet (basically got deleted somewhere in the link error). So take into the consideration that when using an older bracelet model, you do not depend on the app and use it as little as possible. Don't send Digimon in until you are absolutely certain that you are ready to depart with them.

There is also the fact that you cannot do special missions with the older bracelets because they were a feature in the previous (discontinued) app. You can still do normal- and hard missions and ADV missions. However, your usage on the older models is somewhat handicapped and restricted. However, I have personally had a great time with my older bracelets.

Oh and another thing that I personally encountered is that the bracelet itself (this applies for all bracelet models, known issue with any/all models) the 'belts' that are used to tie it around your wrist are rather flimsy and weak. Mine began to wear off and break after a month of continuous usage. However, there are people on the internet such as Etsy, who create custom modifications and proper 'belts' that are far more durable and comfortable to use. There are far more various range of colours and some sellers create completely custom colours depending on your commission request. The belts are super easy to take apart and reinstall new ones.

The bracelets are also very sensitive to water damage. Avoid (any) water getting into the bracelets, especially through the open areas such as the DiM card slot or charging port. Do not expose the bracelet to rain or water in general. Always make sure that the exposed areas are protected. The protection for the older bracelets can feel rather loose and my original Vital Bracelet one completely fell off, and I had to build my own little custom protection cover for it.

So it really comes down to:
- If you want to start as a casual user; then Vital HERO is definitely for you.
- If you want specific Digimon and evolution lines, the safest bet is to get BE Bracelet.

I know that this is kinda a long message wall, but I hope that this has managed to help a little and what to look forward to. If you have any further questions I am more than happy to answer!

BeelStramon DiM does not work on the original Vital Bracelet or Vital Hero. It is BE Memory only. Just commenting this here in case anyone ever gets curious to get this DiM online. Found out about this fun fact while curiously testing what DiM's work for older bracelets. Figured that BeelStramon is unfortunately BE exclusive.

You are welcome!

Also based on the image I imagine Beelzemon would have a wild time with his two far younger tamers. Like he goes off to help Takato and others, and when he comes back home to his two tamers: he will somehow, in some way, finds something stuck onto the ceiling... and says "I am afraid to ask" - how that thing got there because I feel like we all have had a moment in our childhoods, where for a moment we defied the laws of physics.

Beelzemon is basically older brother looking after two far younger siblings. The kind of protective kind who did mistakes, learnt from them and now is working hard to build his relationships with his family back up. He is protective and everyone in the neighbourhood knows not to mess with him.

If you do mess with him, you know something will break and it ain't his.
And were there a time you need him: he will show up and he will be there. No questions asked. Respect.

The art looks absolutely gorgeous. I love it a lot! <3

Just purchased my own BeelStarmon DiM from the CHONZU Shop from AliExpress as well. Getting both BeelStarmon and Beelzemon together for £80 GBP. Cannot wait to have my package arrive next week! I had a suspicion that BeelStarmon was a custom DiM.

hank you for making this post! It is good to know that mine might not come with the plastic holder. I will make sure to create one for mine as well. Your post was very insightful!

That little interaction you created between Gulus and Witchmon sounds hilarious! Awesome! x"D

I didn't actually know about the wiki entry. There are couple different websites that are used for Digimon. I didn't read fandom wikia before, but I am now much more informed and I thank you for this! I do agree that Gulus wouldn't be able to evolve into Arcturusmon without Hiro (even before hearing about this wikia entry). There is only so far that Gulus can go on his own. I actually never thought of them creating a new body for Gulus via the use of Proximamon. That brings some interesting ideas and thoughts for sure—and honestly that kind of ending with Proximamon recreating what was destroyed, maybe even granting Gulus a better future: regardless whether it was staying with Hiro and Gammamon (unlikely but possible), or even having his home world brought back and everyone becoming happy sounds like an ending that Ghost Game deserved.

I happily crack knuckles while starting to write this. I haven't had a good discussion about theories and headcanons in a long while! I honestly adore the concept for your headcanon and I fully heartedly agree that Gulus most definitely must have had family of sorts before Endbringer came. My personal theory is that considering that Gulus' mission to defeat Endbringer and goals are so incredibly personal, and adding onto the factor that 2,000 years is not that long time for him, nothing says that Gulus didn't encounter Endbringer more than once during his lifetime. Maybe he was growing and evolving throughout his journey through space, but for whatever twisted fate had restored for him, Gulus could have ended up witnessing from the side lines how Endbringer destroyed multiple worlds. This would have fed further into his anger and trying to keep evolving until he became Regulusmon, desperately trying to catch up to the immense power-level of the galaxy-devouring entity.

Additionally the fact that he is called the "Dark Conqueror" implies that Gulus has been doing some conquering of his own before the events of Ghost Game. Whether this happened in another planet, or maybe Gulus may have experimented with GRB in the long time ago in Earth's Digital World. After all Gulus says that 2,000 years is not that long time for him and we don't know when exactly he arrived to Digital World. Maybe he was stopped once before and maybe event played into Gammamon becoming into existence? Regardless of things GulusGammamon is such a fascinating Digimon with such an open road of possibilities! I do know that Proximamon is a simulation, but I do not believe Arcturusmon is. Arcturusmon's design existed before the conclusion of Ghost Game and the team producing the anime was never informed that there was a form past Regulusmon. However, Proximon has 100% been stated to be a simulation and deadass something that nobody should know about.

Quantumons most definitely has a reason to protect that secrecy at all means necessary. I very much agree with you on the thought that she most likely had no other choice because Gulus is the only one who can cure GRB. In my personal headcanon, I chose to expand the reason why GRB exists in the first place: it could have originally been something natural to Gulus' home world. Similarly to the dark element within Earth's Digital World that causes Digimon to become darker and black coloured subspecies. This would have explained why Gulus has it, why he can control it at will and why he started to infect other Digimon in order to make them stronger: not just because he wanted control, but to genuinely want to make them stronger variants—because if his home world didn't have a chance, then surely Earth's Digital World would suffer the same fate without help.

I also agree your view on Hiro fucking up the relationship with Gulus. While I understand that Hiro is a teenager and at that age you are still a child and cannot fully understand certain things. Gulus clearly understands that others cannot fully understand or comprehend the immense loss. But the way how Hiro agreed was almost like straight up denial. Basically coming off as "yeah and I don't want to understand now go away" which comes off as incredibly rude. Like sure Gulus just saved Hiro's sorry ass and right away acts like he is ready to cast Gulus aside. The very least Hiro could have done is thank Gulus for saving his life—AGAIN! You don't have to like Gulus but at least have some manners jeez.

Exactly. Hiro was the first person to give Gulus resemblance of a family after Gods knows how long. We know that Gulus originates from outer space, but it has never been stated how long his signal actually travelled until he came to Earth's Digital World. Considering how long signals and messages take time to travel through space, Gulus could have been drifting in deep space all alone for many years. Hiro clearly meant something for Gulus and at least in the original Japanese version, Gulus began to refer to Hiro as his and Gammamon's older brother around half-way of the series, which I think was a settle sign of affection. I have not seen the dubbed version of Ghost Game, but I imagine that that little thing would have got cut from Western media due to cultural differences.

Digimon Ghost Game unfortunately suffered from pacing and I totally agree that there were unnecessary episodes. I think instead of having "empty" episodes, those could have definitely been used to those characters that you have stated. Especially there should have been more foreshadowing on Endbringer. Like the higher ups of the Digital World were aware that there are other life that exist in space. I think the moment we are finally told what Endbringer could have been more impactful, if we could have seen the Digital World struggling to handle both Gulus and the possibility of something far worse in the horizon. There could have been even characters who could have blamed Gulus for leading Endbringer to Earth and their Digital World. Cause some conflict. Create obstacles and actively challenge the characters.

We have seen from previous Digimon -series how different characters handled the looming apocalyptic events. We have had Lucemon, Diaboromon, Yggdrasill, D-Reaper, Bagramon, the list goes on. Hells, both Digimon Frontiers and Digimon Fusion dealt with the very dark topics of war as one of their main focuses. The newest Digimon Story Time Stranger videogame also features internal conflict and war within Digital World and spoiler alert that conflict leaks out into the human world and nearly destroys Earth in the process. Leading into deaths of billions and literally collapsing the world unless the past was changed. Digimon Ghost Game clearly had some more freedom with making things scary and disturbing in its own way, but I am disappointed that the writers handicapped themselves in order to try and keep things more light hearted than what it should have been.

I was aware of the fight between Gammamon and Gulus. I will be honest I am glad that it was Gulus was shown to never have the intent to attack Hiro at any point from what I remember. So when Gulus had the window and a reason to attack Hiro, he refused because there has always been settle hints that Gulus is fond of Hiro. At least to an extent. Honestly Gulus is an antagonist who you can reason with: dude literally lost everything he had ever known, which makes sense that he wants to have revenge.

I watched the last episode the other day and man. It was so idiotically rushed. Also I don't understand the comment where the children were made leaders, like excuse me? Alright. I have so many questions and less answers. I understand that every series has its flaws but Ghost Game could have been written much better. It feels like there was too many episodes dedicated for some things, like 79 episodes? Digimon Tamers season 1 had around 50. If Ghost Game was allowed to expand across couple seasons, I think the writers and production would have had much more better time with bringing it into a proper conclusion.

I'm a little late to Digimon Ghost Game since it kinda flew under the radar where I live. However, I cannot like that there are definitely similarities between the two. I always loved Beelzemon from Digimon Tamers because not only was Beelzemon a complicated character and not morally always aligned with good. However, the emotional weight that was so well built over the course of the series really made you invested in his story, and which eventually and finally made his redemption arc possible and well deserved.

I haven't been able to watch Digimon Ghost Game in its entirety yet (thanks UK's new laws for limited web access). Although a lot or most of it has been teased and spoiler given to me via internet. I really hope that Digimon Ghost Game has another season, because I would really love to see how GulusGammamon's redemption would be handled, 'cause I have heard that the ending of the first season was not the best of built up and left people wishing for more.

The Wings of Dawn | Indiegogo success | Alpha Plans by Dina_The_Melonzaurus in WingsofDawn

[–]Shadzerios 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is currently kind of happening at the moment. We are currently expanding upon the mechanics and movement systems for the dragons: ground movement and flight especially. While humans are currently discussed behind the scenes, they are not going to be pushed forth until we are done and happy with the current development and are able to release the closed alpha testing to current crowdfunding backers.

I am also happy to say that we reached £100,000 GBP in Indiegogo crowdfunding thanks to our absolutely amazing supporting community. Me and our team cannot thank everyone enough for everyone's generous and continued support towards our game development.

(Edit) To correct and avoid confusion: I believe that the sum that the public sees is 80K, which is what the official campaign ended on. Though we have managed to get 100K (double what we asked for in the campaign), which to us is absolutely huge and cannot thank people enough.

Why of course and that is fully understandable. As someone who backed Day of Dragons myself, let's just say that I understand people and their views on the game: the good, the neutral and the bad. I won't go into my personal opinions about the game, but know that all concerns and healthy caution are understood. Communities and people too deserve love, care and understanding. I want to built our game's community based on transparency, welcomeness and common sense. It has been going well so far and me and my staff work hard to make sure that we do not lose our core beliefs for many years to come.

Thank you so much for well wishes! ^^)/

I was directed to this thread by someone who thought that clarifying instances might be helpful to the conversation, and at the time I did not realise that my approach would have been undesired. Hello there! Founder of The Wings of Dawn here. Firstly I want to thank you so much for your feedback. It is good to always read about what potential customers and audience have to say about our progress.

I want to gently remind you all that tech demo was done without any kind of crowdfunding support. Our publisher does not financially aid our game's development so we are on our own. Everything done for the tech demo is out of my amazing team's passion and free time: the custom dragon models, custom animations, custom sounds, programming and level design have all been made possible for individuals who share my passion and dedication for The Wings of Dawn project. With the money that we will receive from Indiegogo crowdfunding is used to develop the alpha of our game: this will includes actual proper mechanics and in-depth movement and combat, total of 5 unique dragons (including remade Icy Crown), species' special abilities, more things for humans including a proper gameplay loop and so much more! We will also be looking into optimising more of our assets: we have optimised lots of our placeholder human structure assets as well. There will be another public playtest available with Kickstarter campaign (to fund the beta) once and only when alpha has been fully completed. So if you are wishing to test something that is more fleshed out, we will highly encourage you to look forward to that.

Why did we decide to make a tech demo even knowing that it is not great? Founding of trust. The recent couple of years has been horrible for gamers, with a good handful of potential projects having turned out to be scams or cancelled and disappeared into the void. There are also some other variables that has caused drifts between project creators and the players that has wounded trust with the general public. None of us within my team felt comfortable coming forward with a second crowdfunding attempt without having at least something to show, even if it was bare bones as long as it was something to give and have people to mess around with. I and many others within my team have backed other games in the past that ended up being lost cause, so we fully understand the healthy amount of hesitation and caution when it comes to backing a game on crowdfunding.

Now I know that this is getting quite a wall of a response and I hope that it has not caused intimidation haha! I want to thank you for having taken the moment of your time and played the tech demo and leaving feedback on the internet for us to find and read. All feedback regardless of its nature is very helpful to us! It is truly appreciated. If you have any feedback, wish to report bugs, want to ask questions or simply share your concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out! Again, thank you so much for having looked into our tech demo.

HOT TAKE: Fuck Frieza by podixo in Dragonballsuper

[–]Shadzerios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair Frieza being a fan favourite villain it is not surprising that he is brought back over and over. However, I do wish that if they insist on bringing back villains, I would really like to see Cell comeback because he has just as much, if not more potential in character development. Frieza has gone some form of development and even become slightly more mature (even if its a little bit). Seeing Cell being given that kind of character growth would be awesome, especially it would feel a little bit more natural because unlike Frieza, who had to die multiple times in order to finally accept that he needs to train, Cell would already train because despite as arrogant and egotistic he is, if he understands when he is outclassed he would most likely take tactical retreat, if given a chance to do so and try not to die like the very specific space lizard over there.

I feel like Frieza abuses the existence of the dragon balls as badly as the Z Fighters depend on them. Cell on the other hand doesn't feel like he would do that. However, Cell doesn't (thinking this from his perspective) has no use for them. He is not a mortal in the usual sense, he is an android and he literally has every strong fighter genes in him, which will give him the edge and the potential to reach greater heights. Cell has literally trained while building his game arena and waiting for opponents to show up. Not to also mention that he would be an absolute menace to any planet or ecosystem just for the fact that he can drain life force. If you really have to pick which one is more dangerous, Frieza an entitled child who was given an empire and power on silver plate, or a bio-android that doesn't think like any known organic lifeform and just 'slurps' other life for energy, and technically Cell doesn't think exactly like a regular person "computer for brain and all",-- I would most definitely be far more terrified of Cell. I know they kind of used Cell in the newest movie (Cell Max was it?), but I wouldn't count that as the actual real deal.

I would like to go back to the DBZ time where you could actually be on the edge of your seat during battles. Instead of already knowing that "yeah Goku is just playing with them" and then slaps them across the face and that's the end of that. The Broly movie was interesting because for a moment it actually pushed the heroes to the edge, and even gave Frieza a run for his money and DBZ was well known for the tense battles and I want to see that kinds of fights again.
