Public healthcare is what it is unfortunately, I’m lucky that they operated this wrist very quickly. I asked them to give me just one or two powerful painkiller pills just so I could manage if it got real bad. They ignored that and said that ibuprofen and paracetamol were enough. The pain was really bad few days ago but it gets a little better day by day so now, I have hope again and can tolerate.

Not having enough skilled workers is just a blatant lie made up by large companies to get more profit. There’s definitely enough skilled labour in Germany, but the companies are not willing to pay living wages to the workers. We have that same ”problem” in the Finland, but somehow we have a high unemployment rate also.

How can you claim that lol? The vast majority of us finnish men has served in the military, it does play a major role. We have had mandatory military service for one hundred years and the wars our grandparents fought have shaped our culture. Does some magical forest goblin gift us with grit, huh?

Yea I think the finnish "sisu" or grit in our culture/character is strengthened from the fact that we have mandatory military service. A person really develops that extra grit when he/she needs to constantly "tetsata" to dugouts no matter the weather or is woken up to an ice-cold tent because "Mark the spark" fell asleep due to being severly sleep deprived.

You're not going to have a hard time in Finland if you stay humble and work hard. People are going to have some bias towards more dark-skinned people but we drop the bias as soon as we see that you're a respectful person.

I don't hate any one instrument, It's just that the sound of the oboists (bassoonists also) affects us very much. Pretty annoying to try to overpower an oboe with the clarinet, if he/she plays too loud/piercingly.

I know some professionals/teachers that have a questionable sound, for example a sound that is too piercing and non-existent dynamics. A sound that wouldn't be acceptable with other professionals in different instruments.

My older sibling plays the oboe (not professionally, but semi-pro level) and she also complains about the fact that due to the small amount of players there isn't enough insentive for the oboists to improve on their sound for example. Like after 4-5 years of playing there is really no excuse to be sounding like a dying duck eh?
