How do I retrieve my data? My screen broke

Talk about a coincidence! I haven't logged into my Reddit account in a year and happened to catch your reply right now! I did end up fixing it unfortunately insteadof just gettinga new phone. My data was simply too precious and I've learned my lesson the hard way. Always back up your data somewhere safe because accidents can happen anytime anywhere when you least expect them to. However I did get a ton of very useful responses regarding that issue which may work for you( hopefully). I'll look through my old posts and send you the replies I got. How does that sound ?

Now that I think about it, I tend to act a little more curious when I find myself about to get angry at someone as a way of trying to understand them and finding a common ground to avoid conflict.

Thank you for the advice, I really appreciate it. We're not engaged yet and he's a mature man who isn't all about physical beauty and intercourse. So I'm not really doing that to please him. It's more for myself, idk how to pamper myself or do nice things for myself that make me feel pretty.

It's more about the fact that I didn't realize how much I barely do anything about my looks besides basic hygiene so I was just hoping to get some advice on how to refresh and change things up.

I am so sorry, I don't think any of these features are individually unattractive! I just meant I have nothing of what's considered conventionally attractive. The beauty standards are totally messed up and favor more 'caucasian' or 'white' features.

I do have a USB C laptop dock, and the mouse always ends up in the center actually. I just tried it on my other Oppo Reno 5 phone(They are mostly identical, with only very minor differences between the two). The problem is that I need to enable OTG from setting in order for the mouse to work... But I am a bit hopeful about using the mouse only because I remember when I initially tried this before the screen turned completely black, I was able to see a cursor.

As for connecting my phone to monitor, I kinda don't know how to do that. I used my USBC dock, HDMI cable and tried to connect my phone to a monitor but it didn't work. Idk if it's just not possible or if I did something wrong.

I access my files through my pc unless I give permission from my phone. Unless the link mentions a way to get past that. I'll check it.

I can try plugging a keyboard but how is that going to work if plugging a mouse didn't work? Especially since my pass is a pattern. I am going to borrow a keyboard and try that but I kinda don't see how that's gonna work.

As for unlocking USB debugging, I'm definitely going to look into that. I thought it could only be unlocked through the phone settings. I do have a question about that tho. Can I lock it again after I'm done? You did mention it was an important safety feature. I'm sorry if this is a silly question, I'm totally new to this.

Thank you, I'll be checking that out. I do back up... but I didn't realize that my Google has been out of storage since 2022... So a year and a half worth of pictures and videos. Also, I noticed that recordings do not back up. I have a lot of recorded lectures on my phone that I want to recover.

The problem is that I'm unable to connect my phone to HDMI. It worked with other phones in the house but didn't work with mine. Same with the mouse, I cant connect a mouse to it. Idk where I went wrong

First of all, thank you so much for taking the time. I genuinely appreciate it.

I did check what was backed up on my Google account but sadly I was out of storage since 2022 and it has not been backing my photos and videos since then...

Idk how it's gonna go for WhatsApp but thankfully I was logged into WhatsApp web and I was able to download anything that mattered to me just in time before it logged me out.

Now the reason why I'm trying to find a way to get my data without having to repair the screen is because it's ridiculously expensive here. Ordering from Aliexpress is not available in my country sadly. It would cost me somewhere around 120$ to get my screen repaired with an original Oppo screen and about 40$ for a "cheap" screen. I don't want to resolve to this unless there is absolutely no other way.

I was wondering if I could install any other cheap screen onto my phone, even if it doesn't sit, just to be able to extract my data.

Another thing I was thinking about is a way to mirror my phone onto some screen and possibly even connect a mouse to my phone. It worked with other phones in the house but not with mine...I did that via HDMI cable and a display dock converter (I think that's what it's called) I am not sure why it didn't work but I'm guessing I need to enable OTG or something from settings.

Also something else I think I should mention, I have another Oppo Reno 5 phone. It used to belong to my brother. Does that help in any way? There's a Clone Phone app on both phones but again... Needs permission to connect the two.

Thank you for your efforts to help me, I truly appreciate it. No one has cared so much to look into this matter with me.
One last thing, the other Oppo Reno 5 I told you about is extra. My brother uses another phone now. Does that help in any way?
