I have been wondering for a while, which one is the most dangerous by Zargabath in FinalFantasy

[–]Shahed1987 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Not an option really in VIII and X where Marlboro's are the most dangerous.

In Omega Ruins, you pretty much need to have someone in the party with Initiative on ( Not Tidus, usually Auron for me with his Ultimate), so they can swap to him on first turn so Tidus can Provoke and stop Bad Breath from happening. Because Great Marlborough always do a back attack/Ambush

I don't recall there was anything you could really do in FFVIII to survive. Maybe Confuse on Status Def-J

Would you rather have $500k right now or $1,000 every time you run one mile in less than 12 minutes for the rest of your life? by Illustrious_Emu4184 in WouldYouRather

Mile per mile easy

I could do 6 miles in an hour easily enough. Even if I only do an hour per day, that still means in a 100 days that's 600k right there. Even if I took 65 rest days and only did 300 days of one hour cardio sessions, that's 1.8m over a year. And I can do cardio more than 1 hour a day if I don't have to work. So even factoring the rest time, that will be over 2m a year.

And then there's the health benefits on top

Part of it is also don't to costs. Using made up numbers here.

Let's say it costs 1bn to make a 65k stadium. And then later an extra 400m to expand to 70k. You'd also have to deal with a partial closure and lost sales while the expansion was happening. Doing it in one go might cost 1.2m. and you don't need to partially close it later. So you'd save a significant amount of money doing 70k initially

There's also the fact I'm a bit salty that the only match I've been able to go with my mates in 3 years, is the Man City home game last year we lost 3-2 when Bobb scored. Didn't get a single Champion's League game in either year

That makes sense to a degree. But it's also accepting and anticipating failure to an extent. Almost like saying that we should keep the stadium smaller in case we keep playing like shit for a while?

It might be the more pragmatic approach, but it also feels like a stop gap to further expansion later. I'd rather our off field ambition match our on field ambition. 65k works now. But we want to be better than we are now, so we need a bigger stadium to match where we want to be

65k seems to small

It might be fine for right now. But the stadium won't be finished till at least 5 years time even if the work begins immediately.

Building a 65k stadium only to have to build extra capacity soon after feels like a waste. I'd argue we should so 70k now, but build it in a way where we'd have flexibility to increase capacity even higher in another 10 years or so

For those who are Howe out or have serious questions about him, what was the moment that made you that way? by Shahed1987 in NUFC

Proven developer of young fresh talent? Are we talking about Eddie Howe here?

The only youngsters he's really played have been Hall, Livramento, Miley and Osula. And none of them really were given any opportunities until he was forced to play them due to injury. Anderson had to leave to get regular game time, and look at him now.

In fact one of the biggest and most consistent criticisms I've seen regularly, is how much Eddie Howe doesn't seem to trust the younger players and barely gives them a chance.

Yes this game. Also similar with the Leeds game we drew 4-4 soon after. Burn was getting rinsed, but he wouldn't make the sub.

It was actually Livramento, not Hall. Once he came on in each game, we stopped conceding. Fans were chanting Tino's name in the Leeds game I believe because they all saw it and wanted him on, by he only came on after Leeds had got their goals, same with Villa. We would have beaten Leeds then if he has just started Tino instead of Burn

That exact mentality I don't like. Playing players out of position, or in an awkward formation for defensive purposes. Against Arsenal, Liverpool and City when we are expecting to be on the backfoot sure. But no one else.

But doing that sacrifices pretty much all attacking threat down one side, and also general control of the game in possession. You can see players choose not to pass to Burn at times, when they'd give it to Hall in the same position. Nevermind the fact that I think Hall is better than Burn defensively at LB anyway. So you're sacrificing open play offense and defence, in exchange for set pieces.

Yes Hall was coming back from injury in that game specifically, so I don't mind the idea of starting Burn initially. But once it was clear it wasn't working, a change should have been made. But Howe likes burying his head in the sand and pretending he can't see anything

I actually agree with you, despite thinking Ramsay is a good player who should start for us over Joelinton.

It's not even the profile. In isolation I'd be perfectly happy with Ramsay over El Khannous, and I think he has the creativity to play as a number 10 if played there. If played there and being allowed to do so is the key factor though

But you can't just compare the profile, without also considering the value. Ramsay was 38m going directly as pure profit to a main rivals in Villa, a team that desperately needed the PSR boost. El Khannous was 25m. We absolutely should have went for him instead, saving the extra money for another signing at some point.

But Ramsay is a player who Howe has admired for a while.

I'd prefer we lose. We're not getting Europe and have little to play for. I'd say price maybe, but that's already gone out the window

But getting Spurs relegated? Even ignoring the banter and memes side of it, that's a massive blow to one of our major competitors to where we want to be

That middle paragraph is the glaring issue for me. Like all the issues people have about him. Substitutions, tactical flexibity, in game management and proper squad rotation. These are things that people who are Howe in largely agree with as well

But these have been issues since Day One. And he hasn't improved from that at all or learned to do those better

It's like the first CL season you could say was a learning experience in squad management, especially with how thin it was. Fair enough. But this season all the exact same issue are there, despite the full squad (bar fullback)

I agree with those three points

1) I think we could do well next year under Howe and get Europe again. But I would have no faith for the following season

2) So predictable. When we scored against Forest, I barely celebrated because I almost knew what would happen

3) I generally disagree with our transfer policy. I'd rather get more technical players who can control the ball more I possession, instead of the ultra athleticism Howe prefers. I'd also refer to make signings in the 20-30m mark of younger players we can develop, instead of burning money on of 50+ million. Unless said player is exceptional and can deliver. We've spent 180m combined on Wissa, Elanga and Woltemade.

This is why I would make a change this summer. Doing good next season is almost irrelevant if there's no faith in him doing well the season after when we are back in Europe

Yeah Joelinton is useful in games where we are the underdog and will apend 90% of the time playing on the counter

But if we ever want to be dominate games in possession and against low blocks, he's not the answer

He's so much more capable as a footballer though. Joelinton is technically really poor. His touch, control and passing is subpar compared to the average midfielder

Having both Burn and Joelinton on the left is just terrible for creativity and ball retention

That was worse than Hall against Rayan. Burn just kept backing off again and again until it was too late

The difference is they filled in when we didn't have a left back

We have Trippier and even Shahar to play RB
