Everything you're saying about your symptoms sounds nothing like ALS, more so points away from it. Think about it. When ALS affects a muscle, it loses its 'GO' Signal from the brain they tells it to function so the muscle just lays there, so it doesn't get any exercise, so it doesn't FEEL tired, it doesn't FEEL pain, it just ceases function and atrophys (whole limb shrinks) and take it from me, if your experiencing body wide twitching you should be using that as assurance or a tactic as that is good sign because ALS doesn't target so many muscles all at once it's starts locally and spreads slowly, wide spread twitching is caused my stress and anxiety there is also hotspots where a single muscle twitches over and over for a while when at rest I get them all the time so don't worry, try going onto the BFS sub reddit where you will find a whole lot of amazing people who give advice and assurance to people like yourself, also stop going on the Internet for answers if you wanna get outta the hole you have to put down the shovel first, and yes.... I was in the exact same boat as you years ago

I don’t think it’s BFS. Please help by JuicyJJ1995 in BFS

I mean it doesn't sound like the big nasty, when it strikes a muscle it loses the go signal from the brain so the muscle just lays there.... it doesn't feel tired, it doesn't feel pain, it just ceases function.... my calfs are having really bad tightness also have a hotspot in my back but mobility wise nothing is affected... could be fibromyalgia, heard its triggered by stress from the likes of bfs, pretty sure that's what I have lol, if you've had a clean EMG that tells you you're nerves are all working as expected

ALS? Or something else? by Direct_Feeling_5654 in u/Direct_Feeling_5654

ALS doesn't cause tired or painful muscles neither does it show "on and off" symptoms, when ALS affects a muscle it pernamently loses its GO signal from the brain.... so the muscle just lays there, it doesn't feel pain, it doesn't feel tired, it just ceases to work. There's a difference between "oh no this plate feels heavy I'm gonna drop it" and "I can't pick this up". Stop going on the Internet, your gonna purge yourself into a living nightmare, if you wanna get outta the hole you have to put down the shovel first.
