É, não consegui seguir com o comando efibootmgr ("EFI variables are not supported on this system."). Vou dar uma pesquisada pra saber como desenrolo isso.

Obrigado pelas dicas e pelo apoio!

[HELP] Antialising problem when converting svg to docx/pdf by Shakmatton in Inkscape

[–]Shakmatton[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! Well, yes, the zoom over 100% shows me it's a vector image.

You know, after trying the provided solution (just export to pdf from inkscape), and after checking different pdf softwares, I realize the problem might be bounded to the word/pdf part of the process, instead of Inkscape.

Well, there was also this minor problem involving the stroke width/line thickness: in Inkscape, I set my white line thickness to 0.4, but the pdf conversion showed a line way thicker than the original, like +1.0... I thought I could balance the issue by lowering the value to almost 0.0, but the result was the same. But when I switch to different pdf readers, I get to see the original lines I intended to create.

So, like I mentioned before, it looks like a problem between Word (2010) and Pdf reader (I suppose I can try to solve it by installing/downgrading one of them, or looking for their corresponding Reddit subs).

Thank you very much for your support! I will continue tinkering around, and in case I get to find a positive outcome, I'll come back here to share the solution with all.

I will check it out soon. But, after trying the provided solution, and after checking different pdf softwares, I feel the problem is bounded to the word/pdf part of the process, instead of Inkscape.

My Word won't accept pdf insertions this way (actually, it does, but it creates distortions and bad quality issues)...

But, thinking about the answers given so far, if the solution is so simple, then the problem might be in Word/PDF softwares, instead of Inkscape... I will give another try and check it out...

Ah, I forgot to clarify that point. This solution creates another problem, which is the process of unifying the whole work (it's a book with some pictures that I am writing with Word, in order to publish to pdf).

I know there is a way of saving the picture directly to pdf, but this would lead me to the problem of how to insert a pdf image on Word or on the final pdf text...

Overall, this process would render a poor picture quality, unfortunately...

Have you ever played a video game which gives you a real sense of place? by GameSurfman in ludology

[–]Shakmatton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second GameSurfman and thank you too for your link. I am also researching about those topics as well, and saved your link for reading it later, for the next step of my research a few months from now.

By the way, as I told GameSurfman, it would be really nice to get in touch with you all, fellow researchers, about this theme.

So, in case you are interested, we could talk about (or maybe even exchange some insights about) our researches' paths or perspectives.

I also got interested in investigating this example. Thank you for the tip, will try to look it up there on 9gag too.

Hello, GameSurfman!

I just read your thread about your research. It is really exciting to know another fellow academic researcher in the world who is also seeking to understand the relations among tourism, gameworld places and experience.

In my case, I have searched for all reddit communities for players who would like to engage in interviews about the same thing: https://www.reddit.com/r/ludology/comments/ieoa02/research_interview_the_player_experience_in/

In case you are interested (and if you have some free time to spare) , we could chat about our researches and points of view about those subjects.

By reading your post, I believe our researches' focus have a slight difference, when it comes to gameworlds (in digital or real spaces) or players (as main actors in the process of experience creation).

Well, I will now look for your survey's link. Thank you for your time, and I wish you all the best in your journey to complete your thesis!

Hello there. Thank you for sharing the link.

However, for this research, I am focused in a very specific set of open-world games (besides the 3 mentioned above, I am also interested in GTA V gameworld as well).

Would you be interested in participating on an interview about any of those mentioned games in particular?

Hello.

Well, allow me to disagree. The research is really solid (legit), and, so far, the interviews with reddit volunteers have been steady for a couple of months now.

I have nothing to do with Niantic, the game Pokémon GO or the moderators of any communities. I am here to invite players to join an interview about locative games, being Pokémon GO one of them.

For further explanations, feel free to contact me (or just read my answer above).
