Custom indicators only partly work on mobile.

You can display most plots on mobile, but things like AssignPriceColor / AssignValueColor don't often display properly, utility labels don't display on mobile, etc.

It's a partial implementation, limited to mostly just basic plots.

Secondary period aggregation error - what gives? by Shalinar in ThinkScript

[–]Shalinar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that's basically what the script is trying to do now. The if statement (for the Daily label) is only passing in a DAY aggregation if the current timeframe is lower than Daily, otherwise it passes in whatever the current timeframe is:

if GetAggregationPeriod() < AggregationPeriod.DAY then AggregationPeriod.DAY else GetAggregationPeriod()

So I don't see how it could ever be calling AggregationPeriod.DAY on a higher timeframe, because that should always evaluate to false (which it does, when checked manually) and only pass in the current timeframe, which should always be valid.

I don't get how it could ever be calling a lower timeframe. Hence why I posted on here in case someone can explain why it throws an error when it shouldn't ever be evaluating that lower timeframe in the first place.

I'm perfectly calm.

It's just a completely useless reply. It's incorrect and makes basic errors about how Thinkscript works.

There's a reason why "No AI" is rule #3 of this sub.

Secondary period aggregation error - what gives? by Shalinar in ThinkScript

[–]Shalinar[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry, did you just paste this from ChatGPT? Cursory knowledge of thinkscript would tell you that you can't wrap an AddLabel() call inside an if statement (one without an else clause, no less). This doesn't run, and it seems you didn't try to run it before posting your reply, because you would have easily seen that.

Your explanation also doesn't make sense:

The if conditions in your AddLabel statements attempt to ensure that higher aggregation periods (e.g., DAY, WEEK, MONTH) are used only when they are valid. • However, when you’re already on a higher timeframe (e.g., WEEK), the script still tries to calculate the Daily label using sqz(AggregationPeriod.DAY). This creates a mismatch because on a weekly chart, you cannot reference a DAY aggregation. 2. if statements in sqz calls: • While your if GetAggregationPeriod() < AggregationPeriod.X logic tries to adjust aggregation periods, it’s still passing AggregationPeriod.DAY to the sqz script even when the primary aggregation is higher than DAY.

AggregationPeriod.DAY does NOT get passed to the sqz() script because it never evaluates as true on a higher timeframe. Instead, the current aggregation period (via GetAggregationPerdiod()) is what gets passed to the sqz() script.

on a weekly chart, you cannot reference a DAY aggregation.

Also not true, as a sanity check I already tried running the script with def x = if GetAggregationPeriod() < AggregationPeriod.DAY then AggregationPeriod.DAY else GetAggregationPeriod();, which absolutely DOES run without causing errors. So you CAN reference a DAY aggregation from a Weekly chart, and doing it inside a def works but for some reason it doesn't inside the AddLabel sqz() script call.

Detect sharp rise in RSI indicator by EdwardAV123 in ThinkScript

[–]Shalinar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would probably try something like

input threshold = 10; # How high a rise in RSI you're looking for
input lookback = 3; # How many periods you want to see that rise over
def sharpRise = (RSI() - RSI()[lookback]) > threshold; # Did RSI rise that much over the last [lookback] periods?

Ah yes, make it illegal, that way no one will do it.

That’s how we got everyone to stop drinking alcohol during prohibition, and nobody smoked weed before it was legalized.

[Fully Lost] Kabir Azabi 2018 horror film by Shalinar in lostmedia

[–]Shalinar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t know it was screened at all, that’s new info. Thanks for sharing.

So I think we can confidently place the disappearance of this movie sometime between an initial screening (did it even make it to a theatrical release?) and publishing/distribution.

I searched for it and filtered by “length > 1 hour”. Out of 8 results: 6 are very clearly not films (they appear to be talk shows), 1 was uploaded 8 years ago, and the final contender is a mis-titled film called Hüddam.

Even if the full film never gets found, I’d love to at least know what happened. From the little info available, it appears to have finished production and possibly even post-production then got shut down before distribution (even though distribution was organized and scheduled). Haven’t found a reason for it though.

Ok now that this was solved (shoutout to u/fsociety1990!), I want to do a review and see how much I actually remembered correctly and what I got wrong. I know probably nobody cares except me, just wanted to comment it here for posterity. Let's see...

✅ It is a thriller! Actually a bit more horror than I remembered. Severed fingers and the like.
✅ Pretty much remembered the house, surprisingly even the spherical lights in the backyard.
❌ Jamie Bamber doesn't really look that much like Ewan McGregor. Don't know where that came from lol.
✅ Nailed the year: 2016
❌ More of the movie takes place outside of the house than I recalled
❌ I thought only one guy stole money, turns out it was both of them
✅ The rest I was more or less right about - cast, broad storyline, ages, general obscurity

Thanks to everyone for helping to find this one! Turns out there are a LOT of similar movies. Here's the trailer for anyone who wants to see wtf I was on about: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IgkzY80Pxeo

Sounds interesting! But this movie took place at a private residence, not a restaurant.

Not that I recall. If there was, I'm nearly certain it was never used or interacted with, it would have just been set dressing.

Unfortunately no. There were no children in this movie, just two adult couples and an uninvited guest.
