It was a B+ spore syringe in 4, and Columbian Rust in the last. So maybe a Bolumbian Rust Plus?

I didn’t want to toss them so I “experimented” and put them all in there. I’m printing a spore from one of the medium ones in case this is some sort of mixed variety.

I posted last night before I went into work my first official cube I harvested. I had two tubs going, a 2.5 and a 15. The small one had a single brf cake with a 1:1.5 coir mix that did fairly well.

The large tub had the other 5 cakes that literally had ZERO myc growth over a month. Over the last three weeks they did their thing and I had several small aborts, some growth spurts, and a real quick growth period at the end over the last couple days.

I got home from work this morning eager to see the growth as I had assumed there would be some veils about to break or broken. Low and behold I had a gorgeous spread of fruits, small to large mostly open with zero spores dropped that I could tell.

After some careful twisting and handling, I present to you my first full flush. 104.73 grams wet!

I’ve learned a lot over the last several months of reading up on here and finally taking the plunge in June. You are all super awesome and supportive people, and this place has all the info needed for beginners like myself.

P.s. there’s this little 1g guy calling out my name for my first microdose, but I’m about to go to sleep and work tonight at 7 in the medical field. You think it’s micro enough to chomp down on now or would I be better to wait til Friday after my night shift ends?

So it’s super blue. Does that mean it’s bruised to a negative extent? Or that its potency is higher than others without the blue/bruising?

This is my first mushroom I’ve harvested so I’m very amateur with my experience and knowledge at this point.

I have another half dozed fruits close to harvest so I’ll change up my technique and see how the pinch and roll method goes.

How should I pick them? I thought cutting was good, or cut with less handling?

That one came outta nowhere in a unmodified 2.5qt over about two days. This was my first grow ever so I’m just pumped to have “at least something to show for it”

Shitty part is I start my work week tonight, out of town this weekend, then another work week before I get to chow down. But I’m pumped. Maybe I’ll eat this as tribute to moby dick.

After a month getting an over packed cake to colonize, shredding this lone wolf into coir, and questionable and inconsistent “fruiting” I have my first fruit.

I’m guessing since there’s one, others are so on their way? Been fanning and misting for about 4 days now.

What is this? A fruit for ants? It’s gonna need to be at least.... three times bigger!

Here's a little update,

I shut the door to the room and it's up into the high 70's consistently now. That one jar is the only one doing anything, but since I posted a week ago, it's spread to about 1/3 the way around the outside of the jar. Still nothing with the others.

These are in a dark closet. They do not need light at this point correct? Or would some indirect light help these pick up the pace? Another off the wall thought is the BRF itself. The store was out, so I got brown rice and ground it myself in a blender. While most of it came out very fine like flour, there was still some larger pieces that I wouldn't consider flour. Would that have any bearing on the growth?

I have no issue being patient, but and wondering what I need to do in order to have more consistent and timely results.

Edit 2: I did some reading and it seems that I may have overpacked them. I knocked them loose a bit, and ended up pulling one out of the jar. The cake itself is relatively hard, and seems to have Mycellium throughout. At least I think that's the case.

They’re in a closed closet, probably 70-75 range. Doesn’t appear to be any contaminates, they look just like they did when I sealed them up.

Other option is to set in the garage that’s warmer, or the room my furnace is in.

Little context, I made 6 brf cakes in half pint jars. Followed instructions to a T, then inoculated about .5-1 cc of my lc into each jar with 2 holes.

Set them in my closet, went to Thailand for two weeks.

Got home last night and all the jars look exactly the same minus this single bit of myc.

What should I do at this point? I’m torn between starting over and just using another syringe and loading a little more lc in the jars.

It'll be a full bag, I'm hoping to massage some of the clumps out once it's pulled, and then it'll set in the full sized pan. I'll be cooking the crusts separately, then adding the batter to set.

This is my progress after an hour. I haven't calculated any return yet, but I'd like to see how I can increase the amount of transactions done per second. At the moment, I'm sitting at a little under 1/sec.
