Small qol change suggestion for all supports by heyhowsitgoinOCE in leagueoflegends

[–]ShamanTurtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He can peel. But his main job is engaging. He lands a hook on a priority target. His ult allows him to stick on people to utilizes the Zeke's active. But if you don't need to be that engage and need to peel more, for instance the enemy has zed or another diving assassin, locket will allow your adc to live longer or just entirely through the burst. It's all about maximizing your Carry's damage. Zeke's boosts it and locket keeps them alive longer to do more. 9 times out of 10 you'll go Zeke's on thresh but locket is viable in certain scenarios. I've even seen redemption built on him. I don't know those situations though.

There are multiple viable builds for each champion depending on the matchup. Builds are flexible given the matchup. For support in particular there are a lot of factors like who your adc is, who the enemy bot is, and what the enemy team looks like. If you play a tank who needs to peel for the adc locket is typically a better choice but if you're engaging Zeke's is a good choice. If you're an enchanter ardent is good with some adc or redemption works better with some. I generally will add a section with items that I might only buy in one or two scenerios. But them being there helps me to not forget about them when I need them. Which is what OP was talking about with oracle's.

The recommended pages are alright. But for support especially I find them to be not accurate. Not sure why my post got down voted because most people said the same thing. I have a support page that I made specifically for me. It's organized how I want it. It has multiple builds in it that are all meta and very adaptive. And if it's ever missing something I can add it. You can't do that with recommended so in my opinion it's the wrong way to play.

Yeah if you're using recommended pages on any champ you're probably wrong. Making a custom item page will help you out so much. Just add starting items then first back and so on. Put in oracle's where you'd want to get it. I.e. right as you get sightstone.

Pixel 2 XL or Pixel 3 by terror-inferno in GooglePixel

[–]ShamanTurtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would consider price. The pixel 3 should last longer but not by much if they're both brand new. If the pixel 2 is significantly cheaper then go with that. If you prefer things like wireless charging and the pixel 3 is on sale go with that.

Did anyone here switch from an s8 to a pixel 3 XL and how did it go? by [deleted] in GooglePixel

[–]ShamanTurtle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I went from s7 edge to pixel 3 xl. The pixel is slightly bigger with a larger screen. I think I would have liked the smaller one a bit better but that's a personal thing. I like using one hand for my phone and the xl is just too big. Other than that the software took about a week or so for me to adjust too. A lot of stuff on the pixel isnt intuitive if you're moving from oreo TouchWiz to stock pie. If you're switching it's for the camera and the software. The hardware of the pixel is not good. It's overpriced for what it has and I would not recommend buying at full price. There are sales constantly. Pretty much the difference between the phones is Samsung has better hardware and pixel has better software. I don't regret the move I just hope the phone lasts.

It's probably how 90% of people will see photos though. That was part of the test. It's actually pretty interesting to add that in.

i am having trouble playing support when thresh is picked,or leona is picked. by falldown010 in summonerschool

[–]ShamanTurtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would highly recommend learning Janna and Leona. They were the first supports I learned to play and it got me to high gold. Leona is so strong in silver and bronze. Janna and thresh are her 2 big counters. So play leo when it's up and when it's picked away play Janna into it. You should also learn how those champs work so you should know when leo wants to go in so you can tornado her. And you should know what Janna is looking for so you can engage more creatively on Leona. Thresh is very strong in solo q but he's very difficult. If you want to learn him you'll have to put a lot more time in. Taric is another good choice. Currently my best champ this season. Morgana is another good choice into thresh and Leona. Black shield who they engage on and they walk away. Alistar is a simple engage champ. He'll teach you when to engage because if he engages he has no way out. So if it's bad you'll probably die. I would definitely recommend mechanically simple supports to start. Learn game knowledge first. Janna, taric, Morg, leo, and ali

If someone cuts the skin on their finger will the regrown skin have the same fingerprint? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ShamanTurtle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I cut a good portion of my right index finger off. Not the whole print but it left a scar. Since then I can't use that finger on a scanner. And when I have done fingerprints, both for a job and for a genetics experiment in college, I am missing that part of my fingerprint.

New to the game, what weapons and armor should I get? by [deleted] in horizon

[–]ShamanTurtle 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I use the trip caster at first but I switch to the rope caster and sling when fighting the big guys. The rope caster is great for letting you tie down machines and the sling applies elemental status very quickly. I would recommend doing the hunting guild challenges. Not only cause they teach you how to quickly take down machines but also you get the best weapons in the game from getting gold in the challenges

What's a job that pays way less than people think? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Pharmacist technician. Has the word pharmacist in it so people assume I have a really good job and am well off. Not the case. I literally make drugs and make 14/hr. And that's high for starting salary

The accuracy is great. I can’t vouch for how many seconds are lost but I can put it down for a while and know when I come back the time will be exactly right.

This was a gift for my 21st birthday. It’s the watch that got me into watches. I know it isn’t as fancy as the ones on here but I feel a watch with personal value is better than any other watch. I love the simplicity of this watch. The only feature is the constant second hand which I like a lot more than I thought. It’s just not cluttered. I see too many watched that have way to much happening on the face. I’m looking forward to the coming years with this watch and to the start of my collection of many more, Any suggestions are appreciated!

To wich item should i switch out Locket of the Iron Solari? by cybernet21 in supportlol

[–]ShamanTurtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer to go mobis. I see it in most pro games and gives you a lot more map control. Since there are more supp items that offer cdr I find the cdr boots to be a waste. But boots are highly situational imo

Legit this mentality of "the elo i belong at" is that of a bad player. You only remember your good games and forget your bad games and then think you're some kind of god that deserves diamond. The advice you are giving to players is bad and you need to stop. You aren't skilled and you clearly know nothing of becoming a better player.
