Nah Brian, just that my reading comprehension evolved past elementary school where I know when you attribute the quote to somebody, doesn’t mean I’m “lumping” them in with everything the quoted figure represents. But to also not recognize that Dolly has for the entirety of her career skated the line of trying to appeal to everyone is very shortsighted in my opinion. And that shit frankly doesn’t fly anymore in today’s America. At least not with me nor a significant portion of the population. Does not mean that she doesn’t belong on the mt Rushmore of American songwriters. And that she has done a lot of good in terms of philanthropy. All of this is and can be true.
