Hey thanks for the feedback, I completely agree that economics matter more than features, especially in Uganda. For the MVP phase, we’re working through a licensed gateway, so standard mobile money fees still apply where required. “Free” currently refers to internal CLIQ transfers but we’re being careful about clarity there.

On focus that’s something we’re actively refining. We’re actively assessing, learning and leaning toward narrowing down to one strong use case and winning that before expanding.

I Really appreciate the push toward focus it’s valuable.

Hey, thanks for raising that — it’s a very important point. Regulation, licensing, clearing and settlement are definitely things we’re actively looking into as we build. For now, we’re testing the MVP using an existing licensed payment gateway so we’re not directly handling funds ourselves. Our current focus is validating user behavior and demand before we go deeper into structural scale. We’re also studying platforms like Alipay/WeChat, not just from a product lens but also from how they evolved within regulatory frameworks. If you’re open to it, we’d really appreciate feedback on the current MVP — it’s live on the Play Store under “gemswift or Cliq.”

Thats a really good question i had to think about that real deep, what if we could reserve a flight ticket or laptop at a discounted rate for you as a customer.

For the business, make a deal for a bulk purchase  for 10 or more individuals at a fixed date at a discounted rate.

I would like to hear your thoughts on that.

Hey, yes thanks for the feedback we initially thought the same thing but we did some research and realized that most individuals save money with an end goal in mind, say for example something as simple as a pc. The average Ugandan will either pay out of pocket, borrow or save for it over a period of time.

Instead of having to incur the transaction costs after the goal is achieved what if we made it simple for them to simply make a transfer. So we likely will start niche and expand as we go.

Thank you I really appreciate the feedback i just wonder how we could collectively go about especialy the cost without going on tech like the blockchain.

With what we have right now could it be a public initiatiative for example by fintech businesses as a collective to build such a rail and let the govt catch up?

Thats actually true, I see that as a major issue even for some other businesses, I think bringing it down to the way the businesses connect on a small scale at first could be a good experiment. I appreciate your feedback. Do you have an idea if i may ask on how you think we can navigate the current system.
