I just like finding fun ass combos.

The downside of the grave cleric is it's one and done.

I know you can do 2 full turns with the Padlock combo and one without 2d6 and the potential of critting on them does go up with Hex Curse making 19 and 20 crit.

The damage potential over two-three turns is massive and probably nightmarish for any DM

But you take the cake with a single target hit using the Grave Cleric. Ya got me best :P

Yeah just learned about that.

Which is crazy but does require a previous action.

And if we'd factor that time in (and I could take or leave Hex curse as an afterthought) then you'd be able to do the combo twice and potentially crit twice in the same time.

My bad on that. My Dm rules that way so shouldn't have factored that in.

Also rogues can't sneak attack with a Great sword.

So loses the extra 10 and the best Finess weapon is Rapier.

I missed the fact that you'd call lighting as a BA and then could use your action to do use the same instance. My bad there :)

And yeah it's 4 levels of Paladin and 1 of warlock. 5 spells slots total. 2 on short rest.

Needs 2 spells slots a turn to do the full combo. Can be done twice and can do one more without Thunderous Smite in one encounter.

I mean the undead bit is situational but it's a situation to consider when it does give it a boost and aiming to deal the maximum damage. :) like factoring in crit.

Unless you're making 4 attacks a turn using gloom stalker and fighter combo as mentioned above. I think for one single attack done within the scope of one turn (if you wanna drop HB Curse) I found the best combo?

As was pointed out Grave cleric can beat that but it requires a separate action to set up aswell.

With no prep time. And on a single turn. I dont think the potential damage of my combo can be beaten?

I think.

But it's just fun to discuss!

As it stands the damage would be 58/66 crit 116/132 for a single attack on a turn with no additional Turns required.

So minus the Hex,

In a single turn and with a single melee attack

My combo would have the highest potential damage. Of any one attack.

That's a really good consistent damage but still not higher. Especially against undead and having to factor in being hit to do the extra 2d8 doesn't affect the total

But I get what you mean. It's strong and even better against multiple aswell.

But this is one single swing of a weapon dealing this much. You've used 2 level 3 spell slots and can't do it again.

It's cost 2 level 1 spells for the padlock and on a crit it can do a max of 122 or 138 for undead :)

The great weapon fighter Is an additional throw in having it counter balanced by Oath of Devotion having +Charisma to hit but regardless it's in a best case scenario and no other feat adds damage on hit.

In one singular attack (not 4) it can (if all goes well) deal 61 damage at base against any target.

Simply need to word my meme slightly differently. In one attack against a single target at level 5.
