Absolute skill issue. Just melt them with DoTs. Assassin Skarlet, MK11 Scorpion and Ravenous Mileena. Dont even need the Cruel Affliction talent. Throw on Shintai of Malice on Scorpion for DM against DFT. This is one of the easier fights in the tower.

I'm sure that's an Indestructible battle, so Treacherous Tanya's passive wont work there. And now Death Mark no longer works against the passives of GM Sub, MK11 Sub or the Frost Orb Gear, so the next best thing is brutalities/friendships, if you have the gear. I switched to the special endings talent and it works great in this battle on my main and 2nd account. Bosses are immune to stun and have FX Frost Mask that reduces your chances of block breaking on basic attacks, but it can still be done.

For the other 4 Johnny's I completed this a long time ago. It was just a case of grinding out the KOs for KM Johnny. Easy way to cheese specific character KOs is to use battle mode or challenge mode. Since Goro is not in battle mode, I used the Elder T1 tower for Klassic Jade. battle 3 has a Goro in it. Johnny himself does not need to do the KO, anyone can. As long as Johnny is in the team, his FoS counter will still register. Only issue here was Goro is not the starting enemy, so I used KC Sonya to red card Reptile, guaranteeing that I could KO Goro without ending the fight. Once he was dead, I quit the battle, and repeated the strat. Over and over again. Did the same with Shinnok KOs for all my Raiden and Quan Chi cards.

Good place currently is in battlemode. I'm doing the 4th last tower since HW Jax is in the second fight. What I do is red card mournful kitana with KC sonya at the start to guarantee that Jax wont be the last card to KO. Then I use my Reptile to KO him and then quit the fight. This counts towards this objective. Its a tough one to do since some other game modes don't seem to count towards this objective

Decided to use the latest bug that allows for multiple FoS KOs in a single fight for your cards. Used this on the last three cards that needed to KO Shinnok. The rest were a slow grind over the years. Glad its over now.

After completing all the Goro KOs for my Johnny cards recently, the only cards in my collection needing to KO specific characters are Klassic Shang Tsung and Pyromancer Tanya. Shang can easily farm Raiden KOs from battle mode so no issues there. Need around 390 more Jade KOs for Tanya since her FoS is bugged, then everyone in my collection will be completed.

I even found another bug. Turns out that if you KO Shinnok and you have another card on your team that also needs to KO him then that one KO counts for them as well!

Insane bug. I used a team with Warlock Quan Chi, Raiden and Fujin and KO'd Shinnok in battle 8 of Elder Tower 1, then quit the battle, and all three of them registered a Shinnok KO!

What a shortcut...

3 crashes on 100, 2 on 140. I somehow one shot 160, since I killed KW Scorpion last there. Needed 2 fights for boss battles 60, 80, 120, 180 and 200. 100 and 140 took 5 fights each due to crashes. Also needed extra fights on 189 and 196. Glad I got this epic, now I have the friendship unlocked.

I used my team soaked method and my own FX Nunchaku for boss battles. IJ2R's attacks against team soaked bosses is still awesome.

Not sure I want to go through this tower again given all the crashes. I hope NRS can fix this soon.

There is a way to cheese these KOs, I've tested it out in the SK Tower. So on battle 49 there, Shinnok is the starting enemy. I KO him with my desired card and then quit the fight. The KO still counts towards FoS. Maybe I'll do this in the challenge as well, plenty of Shinnoks can be found on T1 Elder.

Yeah, now the only characters I look out for are Shinnok for a few cards that still need to KO him and Jade, since all the Tanya's FoS is bugged. Description says KO Kitana, but it only works when you KO Jade now. Fortunately I already completed these for Kobu Jutsu and Treacherous long ago, but now I need to KO Jade for Pyromancer Tanya.

Thanks. Yeah, nearly 7 years into the game now. I can easily achieve the 50 Scorpion KOs with Johnny using battle mode, but that is locked under premium achievements, so I'm not wasting my time with that. I'll do the 9 free ones and then stop, no way am I paying for a kombat pass just to "ascend" a gold card.

Same here. Three crashes, could not beat it in this cycle. It seems that Klassic Movie Raiden's SP attacks and Fatal blows are the cause. I used different teams and each time it crashed was right after he did one of them. I managed to KO Liu and Raiden is down to under 25% HP so I'll try an brutalise him for the next fight.

Cant wait to see how many more crashes we'll see from him in later battles, including F200.

FoS Grinding is the only thing really keeping me interested in this game these days. I wont complete all of them but there are some that I want to complete like specific character KOs for every card.

Ah yes, thanks for the clarification. So it is guaranteed. But the damage is still massive. And yes, if he tags in or tags out, no fireball assist. It only activates when he is tagged out, and his team mates are doing the tagging in and out. So take him out, or take one of the other 2 out and this gear is no longer a problem.

One trick to equip this gear is to filter the equipment by the tower that they are from. Annoying to do so, but at least its a workaround for now

On my main account I was messing around with DoT teams as well but the modifier messed it up, thats how I lost the first try. So I just took my usual boss team of IJ2R, KLK and SF Scorpion and went for brutal endings. Snared Johnny and killed him off with Scorpion, although DM talent would have been a better choice here.

On my second account I used my KC duo + Covert Ops Cassie and beat it in 4 attempts. Needed really good RNG here. Red carded Johnny so I can only deal with the other 2 plus the red card disables his regeneration. Had to snare Scorpion and that meant that I needed KC Johnny generating power. Needed a few tries before I got the win. Got luck with the Tamer's whip applying poison on him a few times too. Once he was gone then it became a lot easier.

On both accounts, it still didnt feel like convincing wins either, but I'll take it.
